This is classified as a full commercial mower. Me and my brother-in-law both got this mower for Christmas this year. We both have the Kawasaki FT 730V EFI 26 hp engine though. There’s no choke on the EFI engines. Nevertheless thanks for the video… Very informative for anyone possibly looking at this mower.
I have a 2020 EFI. Always had/have Wheel Horse lawn tractors where I barely had any dust on me after mowing 1.5 acres. First time I rode my scag it looked like I’d been playing in my chimney. Very bumpy ride, hate the armrests and my arms go numb sometimes. But yeah, overall ok. And yup, three holes in one tire, just had my first tube installed.
So happy with my Scag TigerCat2 w/FT730 26hp. It has the 52” deck. Have 100 trees on my acre, can cut it in 45 minutes. Really happy with this machine. Yes, it’s a pigpen - dusty/dry here in Oklahoma. Rugged and durable. It is a TANK!
Definitely the best mower on the market. One of a very rare few that has separate wheel motors rather than transaxles. I’ve got one that’s 17 years old when this mower was named differently. Very few changes have been made over the years because they’ve done such a great job getting this one right.
We run a couple of these units with our lawn maintenance crews. I have to say we have been impressed with its performance. We are approaching 500-1000 hours depending on which unit and they are all holding up well!
I talked to the dealer in Austin Texas he can get you the tweel part numbers at longhorn equipment he put them on mine and these things are fantastic especially at my ranch where it hits the Mesquite thorns no problem with getting flats.
I wanted to see how the side deflection baffle works and how it is mounted . Who makes it and what did it cost ? Great show tell i just picked up my 2023 TT 61V WITH THE EFI 40 HP BRIGGS VANGUARD ENGINE . I WANT TO BUY THE SERVICE MANUAL FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND DO REPAIRS IF NEEDED . THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
I had scag fever just like you until i got shafted by the dealer and scag when i had simple problems, with not one, but three brand new scags. (i made tons of videos) Scag is aware and said "it's not our problem anymore"
How do you switch on one fuel tank to the other fuel tank without dealing with stalling? I switched from the left tank to the right. It starts but once I forward it it stalls. Am I supposed engage something to keep it running?
@@Archifx thanks for the input I like how it starts with the efi engine & I can mulch some tall grass effectively, may leave a small trail, but trail disintegrates when I take my blower to it.
How do you release the hydrostatic transmission/put it in nuetral on a tigercat 2? I can find a video for pretty much any zero turn but a tigercat 2...
on The tiger eye that one red indicator that you did not know means that you blade are off i notice that when the mower was off and you pulled the pto up and the indicator turned off and then turned back on when you turned the pto off
Great job showing and telling, mowers looking good so you may be saleing your mower. If so let me know by texting me, so good job showing and telling about that mower. Keep up the great work, have a great day see ya on the next video see ya bye.
Looking for experience-based opinions on Kawasaki vs. Briggs Vanguard. I have 2 flat acres that is almost all lawn other than the house and pool. Also trying to decide between 52" vs. 48".
The only thing I hate about it is that I cannot raise the deck on the fly. My knee will hit the control stick. I’m 6’1” average stature and build. I’ve moved the foot pedal to the third hole and I still can’t do it. I’ve seen others complain of the same thing. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? Edit: I see after watching the whole video that you have the exact same issue
@@Archifx under the front nose of the deck there is a baffle that’s bolted in there. It is adjustable up and down to eliminate blow out for different cutting conditions. Just google Scag baffle adjustment. Tons of info out there. You can also put the tweels on there for the 61” Tiger cat 2. They will be about as wide as your deck, but they will bolt right up.
Yeah I got one , but it's a carberated model ..I don't really like all the drive train noise the valve train makes ..my last mower was a tt fuel injected kohler , I liked the tt better ..and I'm a big yammaha outboard fan, I'll buy a liquid cooled kawasaki next time ..I've had the rest of them throughout the year , scag has been going down hill on service though , hope you can fix them yourself ..
"Made in the USA" means assembled in the USA. That's alot of mower for a single property. Take care of her and she'll probably last into the next generation.
They are definitely under powered at a standard 25hp engine. You have a 22hp. If you don't have the bagging unit for it and you are on flat ground maybe that 22hp shit might fly.
