That’s very normal! Keep in mind that unless you’re being extraordinarily aggressive and/or u have very thin hair, a scalp massage is never gonna harm your hair or cause extra hair loss. It’s the same thing that happens when u brush your hair-u don’t lose extra hair from brushing it, (again, unless you’re being extremely rough) it’s just the hair u lost already being combed out from the rest of your hair. Scalp massages r fantastic for hair growth bc it increases blood circulation, therefore increasing the oxygen and nutrients the hair follicles get.
Adding to the last comment: the less you touch your hair or brush it, the more hair will come off when you eventually do touch it! Every day like a hundred hairs (or something like that) reach the end of their natural life cycle and once you touch your hair or brush it those hairs will come off. Of course the longer you wait in between touching your hair the more hairs will have died in the meantime so this can accidentally cause the impression that your "hair loss" gets worse when in reality you just let more loose hairs build up. I know I had that issue when I tried styling my natural curls. I brushed my hair less and I was upset because I would loose so much more hair in the shower. When I tried styling it straight again, my "hair loss" went back to normal because I would brush it several times a day again. (That being said we aren't doctors and we don't know your situation so if you are worried that you actually have a medical issue it might be worth talking to a specialist)
Thanks for the replies everyone! ❤️ I’ve definitely been trying the scalp massages and I they have been helping! You were all right I wasn’t touching my hair as much so when I would massage it a lot of hair was falling out but it was normal shedding now I don’t shed as much 😊

@@EvelynandBreeleeYou do know that hair takes time to grow or thicken?? Why would you ask the person with a gap of 2days. How is anyone suppose to thicken hair in 2 days. I hope you are in your correct mindset.
I think it was Japanese research. You can Google it. It's also available with other videos on RU-vid. Some people on RU-vid put the link study under the video subscription!
I have tried this for over two months. My back of my head is getting sicker but on top of my scope it seems to break very easy on top of my soap and I’m having difficulties with dry scalp in flakes. I’m trying to get rid of that as well over top of all of us. If you have any advice, please shout out to me.
Can I add lavander and peppermint oil to the rosemary oil treatment?? If, so what is the proper measurement for carrier oil and for rosemary, lavander and peppermint oils??
Can you see any changes in by doing it? Because I have done it for quite some time already can’t say how many months it has been but I have brushed my hair before bed and I can, and then I do a massage and I can see provement in my hair fairy very much and then on Saturdays. I do that same massaging well I’m doing my hair oiling for hair growth and then at bedtime I brush my hair and do that massaging again on a Saturday so that’s twice for one day and I can see so much provement in it. I take a photo of my hair every single month and I can definitely see provement.
Lol very untrue there is countless reasons someone could be losing hair.. stress, hormones, aging, thyroid, nutritional deficiencies, tying hair to tight the list goes on and on
Hair pretty much always grows if you are alive. To get long hair it's a game of keeping it from breaking off at the ends. People often think their hair isn't growing because the length isn't changing but that is usually because the hair is subtly breaking off on the ends and we don't notice it. Next time you brush your hair look and see if any short hairs are on your clothes. That's a few of your ends breaking off. You want to minimize that. Using conditioner or oils on your ends can keep the drier older hair from breaking off. Gentle brushing, low heat styling and getting rid of brushes, pony tail holders and other accessories that rip your hair out or off will also help a lot. If scalp massage makes more hair come in then all you have to do is keep the length with good habits
