Reborns.com is NOT a scam and I highly recommend using it. Paradise Galleries and Ashton Drake are a great place to get realistic dolls for cheap! Aliyahsrebornworld is NOT a scam, I somehow got my wires crossed and put it on the list. That was a complete accident
@@KornFLakes0605 I can’t find that website but authentic artist made reborns don’t cost under $150. So if the doll you’ve found is under $150 and isn’t from paradise galleries, Ashton drake, or Kinby dolls it’s most likely a scam
I wanted to thank you because I just starting to get into the reborn dolls. I have been looking for my first doll and I almost bought it from a scam website but then I saw your video and did some more research. Thanks again.
I got dolls from 2 of the places that were on her list and the dolls I got were really nice. What I do is go to the website and read the reviews and make sure their are reviews with pictures that way you will know what the doll actually looks like. That's what I do and I have actually gotten really beautiful dolls for a really low price. Don't buy from a company unless they have reviews with pictures of the doll you are wanting.
As a doll collector this really pissed me off. I went through a lot of pictures from the add. It was so obvious the dolls posted were real children. No way could those realistic dolls be that cheap. I buy from Aston Drake. Not the most realistic but it's what I can afford. Most are about $150.00. They have a great selection, good customer service and a good reputation.
I used to love them but I really fall in love with the pictures and some of their dolls are not like the pictures even though they are the same sculpt. I won’t say I won’t ever buy one in the future, I just know to remember that it’s most likely by a different artist than the photo. For the price they are pretty awesome and right now if got one it would probably be from there because of the low price, I said somewhere above that I would consider modifying one if it came too different. I would love to someday afford one that I could order the actual doll in the photo.

I know that some kits can be about 45 dollars, maybe less if there's a sale; however, that's the blank kit, there's still the paints, brushes, the weighting materials, the stockings, eyes if necessary, hair if desired, and zip ties. That's just to PUT THE DOLL TOGETHER!There's still clothes and any other desired goodies.

Hi, Great video! Paisley is soooo cute 💕. I was shocked at how long that list was 😮, I hope all those who are new to the hobby and have yet to purchase a reborn watch this video first! I buy nearly all mine from ebay, and have noticed that these scammers are even showing up on there- if I knew how to report them to ebay I would, because frankly it’s disgusting, and yeh the actual sculpts are stolen- mostly from Bonnie Brown ( poor woman ☹️). Keep up the great informative videos 👍, and I really hope they make a huge difference to the hobby and put all those nasty scammers out of business!! 😊🤞
Hi, thank you for doing this. I was there, I can really empathize with people who can't afford the more expensive dolls done by artists. I started painting reborns because we (my mom and I) wanted to buy beautiful dolls for the little girls in our family, so we saw Katie on ashton drake, but when we got her she looked NOTHING like the doll in the pictures, they used an artists photos and we thought we are getting a doll that will look like a real baby, like the one in the photo they had, but she just looked like a regular doll that you can buy at target or walmart. For $189 with tax and shipping there is no way we are being this gullible, so we sent her back. I looked for the cutest kit I could find and started painting Maddie, she is my first doll, but so far i ALREADY invested almost $500 just in the materials, and I still don't have everything I need. I know what it feels like to not be able to afford something, but you can save money, little by little. Some of the blank kits that artists buy, are over a $100, most are much more, many are almost $200 depending on the sculptor, and then you have the very limited editions, which can be around $500-700, tax and shipping. That's just the kit, blank unpainted arms legs head and some don't even include the cloth torso, that is another $20-40, then you have to buy the eyes, some quality eyes- the nice, realistic eyes are $45 plus tax and shipping, then the hair, it goes from $19.99 to even a $100 per 10 oz, the paint is $20 each color per 1 oz, and lately the factory which makes the paints stopped producing due to lack of materials, so the sellers are gouging prices big time, then varnish to finish the doll and a special oven to cure the paint/and then the rooting needles, which break often. I wish people would understand, these dolls although we love them, they take weeks to make and the materials are expensive. So thanks again.

This happen to me so I feel this 😭 paid $80 and got a $5.00 toddler’s toy!!! I don’t remember the site but it was awful. Not as pictured at all and was missing the items they claimed came with the doll. Definitely was of dollar store quality. I cried for a week. 😭💔

Yess!! I love this. I learned my lesson from Ebay and Amazon a long time ago, as I was new to reborn dolls. Another thing to watch for is people that scam you, will NOT tell you how long the hair rooting or painting process takes, and a lot of the real reborn kits have the artists name on their neck, the scams do not and there is no COA with the doll. Fast forward to now, my mom's friend that buys kits and paints them is painting me a baby from Sabrina Hergarten and oml she's adorable 😍 she's vinyl with full legs and arms, they are a bit chubby but that's okay! She'll be here one or two months after my birthday. I'm so excited to get her 🥰❤

I ordered from amazon and it came just as shown but I would say be careful because some of those dolls are scams so I recommend looking at the review to see what other people think
Vinaen is also a scam. Very naïve people will fall for it because they leave “reviews” on their products. Sometimes the image is the exact same doll with different background, but they post a lot of photos of real babies and try to pass them off as dolls.
Amazon is good if your not ready for a real reborn doll I buy so much reborn dolls they don’t scam! I love it because I know they aren’t real reborn dolls but they are good quality and they are good for beginners and if you can’t afford a real one they are amazing quality. At a once upon a child I found a real reborn doll I was absolutely shocked!!!! I can tell it’s real it’s softer then the ones I got from Amazon and the face did not deal like vinyl and it was way more bendy then vinyl.I asked the worker if I could hold it he said sure! And I was so surprised it had holes from having its ears pierced by the artist and the person that sold it there probably did not know what it was!! Because I found it there for 25.00 it was CRAZY!!!!! I got so lucky I could not afford a real re born now I could I promise it’s real it also has the kit number written on the back of its neck. And the number is 122. Also it was a kit that was not on any not real site like Amazon and paradise gallery’s so it either was a old kit or a rare one.either way I don’t care it was a real reborn!!! That’s my CRAZY STORY!!!!!!
Some ppl who doesn’t understand the time and effort put into bringing these babies to life and only want to pay $100 from a scam site. Don’t understand the art behind reborn doll community and if they aren’t willing to save and spend on a good quality legit doll then they probably should just collect Reborns. The fact that ppl want a beautiful reborn baby for less than the blank kits cost alone really don’t understand the art and love behind the reasons these babies are made.

I bought the Diana doll that you showed. She looked beautiful on the picture but when the doll arrived, it was just a cheap ugly play doll. She looked entirely different when I got her. I got scammed! 😡

Yes I've been there, I purchased a doll from reborn the doll they sent me was no bigger then my hand not even close to the picture, never received my money back. I will never try to buy another one.
I've seen a couple on Amazon that people have done photos of that look very like the picture. However I've heard that they are made from toxic materials so I'm still worried about buying one. They are also still too pricey for me right now. I have actually made a reborn from a kit several years ago. So I know how hard it is to do.
I got a doll from a scam website (Reborn Doll Shop), first timer here. Definitely doesn’t look like the photo, but she’s adorable and I’ve grown attached to her. I’m crafty and I think she could be pretty realistic with a bit of touching up. Any harm in keeping her? Like could the materials be toxic or make me sick or something? I’ve just been bonding with her today and the thought of giving her up makes me sad (not to mention that she’s non-refundable anyway, so she’d just end up being donated).
I am not sure. I have seen many people getting scammed by buying from that same website. The doll may have toxic chemicals that can harm you. It is not a very good idea to support and promote these scam sites, in my opinion, although it is your choice. I hope this helps.
one thing every reborn or fullsilikon baby buyer must learn from the beginning is that you never will get such nice looking reborn or silicone dolls for 75, 100 Euro s or less! Because that is just not possible because good babys cost a lot more than that. but it is very sad that it is possible to steal fotos and "sell these babys" that no exist (for this money)

Yes they are scam. No absolutely 100% no I will not support companies that have hurt so many artists, sculptors, creators, and customers in any way shape or form by buying their products and reviewing them.

After watching your video, I really feel like I got duped big time. I ordered a gorgeous baby doll for our daughter as her main Christmas gift well over a week ago and still haven't received an email about my order status or even how to track it. Between the doll, and this adorable 10 piece gift set to go with the doll, as well as paying an additional fee in case anything were to happen, we spent $170. I've tried to contact them and haven't received anything back from them. Since you've dealt with this matter before and because I knew no different, what's the best way to go about getting our money back so I can buy from a reputable seller? Also, because I'm new to the whole reborn dolls I don't know if any 2 dolls are ever made alike, but I love the doll you show in your video and love the name Paisley! Actually the baby girl in the pink onesie in the first row of dolls you showed us is not a scam I got her and she is perfect, looks exactly like her pictures and is amazing so not every doll you point out saying is a scam is sometimes not a scam.
I get my dolls from eBay because they protect their customers from scams. I’ve paid a few thousand dollars for my silicones but they are worth it. Everyone thinks they’re real babies.

Why not just post the legit sites instead of the scam ones. If the site isn’t on the legit list then ppl should automatically know it’s a scam. There are way too many scam sites to list.
Because there are so many reborn artists that all have different sites itd be more hard to find them all and list them, there’s also the issue of I’m human and if I forgot a website an artist could be severely upset
There are lots of great dolls on Etsy! Just be careful the scams are on Etsy too. Remember the supplies to make a reborn cost around $150 so authentic dolls are usually over $200
