Those parents knew full well they should have arranged their visas themselves. You don't travel on a promise.

It is incident like this that gives black people a bad name, inside Africa and in the diaspora, black people DO NOT SUPPORT EACH OTHER, hence that is why they DO NOT prosper , it is terrible how these five people were scammed .

Thank you for this interview. I enjoyed their message about righteousness. I also appreciated their stand on the importance of exposing the painful truth about unfair experiences in Ghana and elsewhere. The good about living in Ghana is nice but it helps to understand the bad and ugly. While bad and ugly is everywhere on this earth, diasporians don't expect to find mistreatment through people of their own color in Africa. It is shocking to learn that you can be actively hated and exploited in a country where you might move to in order to escape racial oppression in the US. It is certainly naive to expect the general public in Ghana to embrace diasporians with loving, open arms. Thank God for those who are welcoming and helpful. Thanks for sharing the aerial views.

Visa pn arrival is only during december and Ghana does not give Citizenship to foreginers who have being in Ghana less than 10yrs . Please just apply for a visa from any Ghana embassy.

Please know that in every country there are people, who given the chance, will take advantage of you. Please do your research well. Don’t just sign up, go on the media there so many legitimate companies that organise trips to Ghana. It was a bit naive to come without a visa, tables turned, what would happen if someone went to the US from Ghana without a visa on a promise?

Someone told me to come and get a visa on arrival from his contact. I was very disappointed in him because there is no way I would travel that way. I'm not risking my freedom, passport and reputation on a promise.
