I was scammed on Vinted for over £100 for a Gamecube Bundle. If I have helped you with your reselling feel free to buy me a coffee :-) www.buymeacoff...
That's just crazy! Why do people think they can treat other people like that? Surprised you were so chilled about it James. Look forward to seeing what Vinted do about it.
Aah man that sucks. I always have the buyer protection on, you can't be too careful as there's a loads of scammy people like that online. Good to see you've taken the lesson and learned from it though and made a video warning others. Great vid.
I'm glad you put this up. Vinted is not the best. Many of the reviews are not accurate as vinted is not always letting buyers put up negative feedback. I've had orders cancelled yet the automatic feedback tool for negative feedback is not activated. Customer service is appalling and inconsistent. Difficult to chat with anyone
You can leave negative feedback on anything you either buy or sell. If it doesn't show up automatically, you can click on the person's name, then click on the three dots at the top right of the screen, and it will give you the option to leave feedback
There are loads of these dodgy £102.36 etc… listings with random usernames. Vinted need to stop worrying about resellers and start cleaning up their platform before they get a really bad reputation. Fingers crossed for you.
Original signed up for selling items and ended up purchasing quite a bit, but had loads of issues, 4 out of 10 are broken or missing from bundle, when you send proof to vinted you have to send photos of everything, hard when the items not in the package, or you send photos of packing items emails photos and hundreds of messages and thr seller doesnt even need to provide anything...been scammed a few times but all in all all the lovely girls and chaos I have spoken to are soooo lovely x
Hey can I just ask if you can let your viewers know at the moment on vinted there seems to be a large group of scammers selling items such as juicy, white fox and Nike tracksuits at only £10 and Nike at £7 , they will only post via Royal mail , they will send you a fake delivery receipt almost instant and you will find that the royal mail symbol is blurred and been cropped into image, Please vinted buyers follow these simple steps to avoid being scammed 1. Communicate with seller before purchasing item , these scammers don't seem to be able to communicate or don't want to. 2. Avoid any seller who use's royal mail only 3. If it seems to good to be true it probably is 4. Most of the name looks like somebody slipped on a keyboard i.e , difoiehsjof Please be safe guys 🫶
I had exactly the same experience on my first purchase on vinted ! wanted a nintendo wii u and got an envelope! i got fully refunded . i just avoid people with no feedback or history . i’ve since learnt the ropes and probably purchased over 200 items to flip on ebay , with some absolutely brilliant buys
Yeah I've noticed this, pretty much all items around £100 and the usernames have random numbers and letters are all scams 😂 Edit - on Vinted you have to pay buyer protection. If you do not let Vinted know there is an issue within 2 days of the item being delivered Vinted release the funds to the seller, this is where the scammers are hoping you don't open a claim quick enough
Your get your money back dont worry vinted are good with this. They do it with damaged and not item as described. I sell on vinted and you get people doing it to sellers to saying the item has not arrived. That stick is definitely antique 😆
I only really tend to sell on vinted and to be honest most items really are at most £30 pushing £40 I've never really seen things for high value. They've been pretty good with me when Hermes have lost things. Hope you get your money back.
About half the stuff I have bought on vinted doesn't even get sent. Always been refunded but it's super annoying. I still use it, but don't have high expectations.
Hey mate been following you for a while looks like that shed is filling up. Nice work and keep it going. Unlucky about the Vinted situation. Hope it gets sorted
I just started selling on Vinted. I already had a terrible time as I was trying to purchase an item yet there was some error on the app. So to my shock, my first item apparently got sold. But when I was waiting for confirmation about who I’m sending my item to, a message popped up appearing as an ‘official Vinted member’. So I was obviously suspicious and it seems that I have been scammed in given my email address. It’s a good thing I felt suspicious and reported it. Still waiting for Vinted to respond.
This is why I don't pay for anything unless the seller can physically present me with the product first. No product. No money. Period. It also works the other way around when I'm selling something to someone else. I'll choose a public place to meet up and I'll physically present the product to them. If they don't have the amount of money that we've agreed on, then buyer can frankly p*ss off. I don't leave room scammers to flex.
With Vinted, always check for the random number and letter accounts. Always scammers and you can just tell by the photos usually and no feedback...just be careful mate.
Hi, I only sell on Vinted, I always thought that buyers are well protected on it :// I hope, that buyer protection will get you your money back. I don't know if you know and if it still works, there's an app called Shpock, similar to Vinted, I used it in the UK and it worked well for local stuff.
Aww man - that’s terrible! I’m sure Vinted will refund you for it but what a nightmare. I’ve never had any issues with Vinted but then again I haven’t made any big purchases either really.
Hi James! I use vinted alot, there are loads of these users on vinted that you need to avoid. They’ll post highly sort after items and for some reason a pound or 2 over the nearest 10, for example £101, £51, £92 etc. Their users will always have a mixture of letters and numbers with no reviews.
Only sell on vinted tbh no issues that sie tbh i know the 0.500 grams hale a kilo is standard when sellers pick out small light weight items ie t shirt etc ,must of been the lightest console ever lol hope you get it sorted
Think I might be corrected but the picture is reverse image. Likely this could mean the picture has been used for scam purposes. Not 100% but sure I heard that somewhere. That's sucks man hopefully get it sorted.
I need more help. Buyer got the stuff but not pushed the received it. And damaged my item and tell me more like lie details but is not true how can I do about it please need to help.
awww no that sucks. Theres alot of scammy sneaker sellers on Vinted too. I think the red flag is the no feedback as a buyer or a seller and i think you can see how long theyve been a member. Hopefully you'll get a refund. I mean Vinted as the broker should have the scammers bank account details (if its even theirs) so they might refer it to the police who knows.
As soon as I saw the " I wish you a happy life" part of his message I knew he was scamming you. English either wasn't their first language or they were taunting you for their own amusement believing you to be gullible.
sorry i might be late.. but the seller wont get paid if you leave a bad feedback, so therefore you will have to return the item the seller has given to u. So if you dont like the item just leave a bad review and vinted will refund the money to u
@@adam10051977 yes well as a reseller it would make sense for me to look for items that could make me more money. But that was the asking price regardless so if it was a real person who was not scamming and they asked the price I paid then I’m not sure how it’s greed? Do you go to Tesco and offer money over the asking price?
@@boldfinds I’m saying that if it wasn’t a super bargain price you wouldn’t of been interested because of zero profit margin, if it looks to good to be true then it usually is… it’s a lesson learnt
Some people are right scumbags. I don't know how they sleep at night. I'm sorry this happened to you but thankyou for making people aware. (Also, I wouldn't show your home address if I were you)
#Vinted is bullshit. Just made my first purchase of a watch, i spent even money for the verification center. they checked the genuine then shipped to me but they made a mistake on the delivery label writing as receiver the UPS point, who refused the item cause they didn't know the real name and surname of the receiver. They sent back the purchase, i asked vinted to change the delivery address or the name of receiver and the support wrote me then they can't manage the shipping. ahahaahahaa Guys... thery are really bad. Ticket support replied with standard templates and from 7 different people. Bullshit
