Scammell power 

I've signwritten quite a few of them ol' Scammells, Pickfords livery etc., a friend of mine used to run the Scammell Owners Club but he does a lot with vintage tractors and diggers now. My dad also used to work on them in the REME, a very useful bit of kit to have :)

Man the Scammel is a cool truck, it reminds me of being a kid looking at monsters like that when the fair visited. 👍🚛

Sorry to see it have to be towed. I did once have to move a WW2 Scammell recovery truck once. On approaching the gate I needed to drive it though, I just put it in first, got out, opened the gates and then got back in whilst it was still moving. Lots of towing power in those trucks!

Brilliant film, love the drama voiceover. Shame it ended so abruptly, would have loved to see it being backed into to the shed.

You'd need two years as an apprentice to learn to shift gears in that thing! Given that it sure pulls just fine though!

Shame the Sentinel had issues. The Scammell is a real gem, it can still do a proper job of work 3/4 of a century after it was built. If anything, this short film ably illustrates why steam gave way to internal combustion in the end.

I think that gear shift plate is a much later addition on the Scammel Lol. I noticed the side of the water tank in the first video had had a beating, obviously not the cause. Hope Richard gets it fixed okay? Thanks for sharing

Love the old wagon sad it had to go home like that. Like that tow vehicle but internal combustion I can actually fix myself while I'm not sure about the steam power or should I say I could probably figure everything out but would be nervous about the boiler.
