I agree because when they told her that they found the real person in the photo she said something along the lines of “but I only sent you one photo!” Which implies that she chose to only send 1 photo otherwise she would have said something like “Wow! That’s the only photo I had so I’m glad it was helpful!” This lady is ridiculous! And to imply that the Social Catfish team was lying to her in the same way the scammer did by having her “go thru steps”! It’s just unbelievable!! Knowing that there are so many innocent people out there getting scammed like this everyday is really sad but some of the people I’ve seen on here make it super hard to feel sorry for them!!

@@DittyBelle08 I totally agree. I'm actually a really firm believer that most of the mockery catfishing victims get on this channel (in the comments, not the videos) is undeserved. Even when there is clear and obvious evidence that they are making bad decisions, that just tells me that there must be something pretty seriously wrong with them. It usually isn't people of sound mind and decent education falling for these scams, and that's not the victims' fault. Those things are disadvantages, not personal failings. However, when it comes to disingenuous, callous, or malicious behavior, I run out of empathy pretty fast. This lady was nasty.

There was a moment of shock (she really didn't think they'd find him) then she instantly lays the groundwork for denial (BUT I only sent one picture), as if she was already prepared to reject the possibility. If I was surprised that Social Catfished had found my scammer with only one pic, my reaction would be, "Oh my god, really? That's amazing! I thought for sure one picture wasn't going to be enough! Show me!" I wouldn't just immediately go, "Nuh-uh! I don't think so 😡" Lmao

I don't fully agree with you regarding the real boyfriend's wife. Pictures everywhere makes me wonder if he's ready to move on. It's normal to have some pictures out of a partner you've lost, of course, but only up to a point. No new partner is going to want to see pictures on every single surface or feel like they're second best/only a place holder because the other person isn't there, and to know they would totally leave you if the prior partner could come back. A new partner would want to be loved for themselves by a partner who is emotionally available and not tied to their prior partner. There's a happy medium between the two states of mind.

Years ago, I was hospitalized for depression. While I was in there, there was a woman like this woman. She gave all of her money to a scammer. She was mad that her daughter wouldn’t let her live with her because she wanted to protect her own family! This lady has so much audacity! I hope her boyfriend ran and didn’t look back! @@admear From watching these, I'd be inclined to believe that it's the original scammer, who is usually part of a group, working on multiple scams. That way they keep the contact in their network. If they sold her personal info, someone else could bleed the target dry. Once people send money the scammers will persist, in hopes that they will get more. And they often do! It feels like a gambling addiction to me, they are betting that the person is real and the time&money invested will eventually pay off or the story/journey will come to a culmination or conclusion. This group does such good work. My grandfather got into a terrible situation irl with a bad character and her manipulative family. Lossing money was not the worst thing he went through. Even them old church ladies can't be trusted.
