Ashton or Art. I wish when you talk to the victim's you would just tell them to spread the word, tell everybody they know about the scammer's.. I wish there was a way to tell everyone about the scamming that goes on like a TV show or something but there isn't so, if you tell these people to warn everyone they know, the word will get out.. Thank you for all you do! My grandson's name is Ashton.. 🤗
@TrilogyMedia, you should have someone in your team who speaks different languages(Spanish, French, Chinese, Thai). Not everybody in the US speak fluent English.
true, but its understandable. they almost got scammed. for sure they are gonna be on the edge if 2 people randomly come to your address and know your name and what youre doing
I completely agree with this statement, but to be fair it is a random stranger coming to your house, anyone would be cautious even if they come with good intent.
@isaacisgamer3951 No? They were there telling the people they are being scammed and not asking for any money or any information. How could they possibly be scammers if they're sitting there telling you don't give any money or info to anyone
Exactly. I wish that the victims who approach Trilogy Media’s advice and help with such caution and suspicion would’ve use the same caution when some stranger on the phone asked for all of this personal information and accessed their bank online. I get the feeling the couple may not speak English as a first language or understand computers really well-definitely not blaming them for that. But it’s like they just dropped their guard on the phone if the person “sounds” official or the scammers panic them about their computer or bank, but if someone shows up to your house who is not asking for any money and is trying to save you from giving your personal information and access to your computer to a bunch of scammers, suddenly you’re very suspicious of that. It’s especially true with older people- like they approach this with such caution when someone rings their doorbell trying to warn them of a problem, people who want no money, nothing but to keep you from losing your life’s savings. Even the neighbor was grilling Ashton. How about be cautious with everything then, if you’re going to be worried about people with clearly good intentions? Please, everyone, tell your elderly family, friends, neighbors…don’t give out anything over the phone unless you’re 1000% sure they’re a rep if your bank, investment firm, etc. And if you aren’t sure, hang up. If it’s that serious, you can verify it independently of what a rando on the phone is telling you or pretending to know.
It exposes that *these* scammers rely on google ads to acquire victims. Google is straight up destroying lives because they are too greedy to have *ANY* restrictions or verifications on ads. Even the most basic of safeguards would catch this. So, they have a very good reason for this to disappear. More of a reason than most videos for advertiser friendly BS. This is going after their bottom line directly. That scam money keeps the lights on and those lucrative bonuses! Who cares that Nancy just lost her life savings and house? Sundar needs a new yacht! Sergey will be on the streets without the scam ad money! Terrible.
@@TrilogyMedia bro my wife got a PayPal email obviously fake they sent us a acct number and fake amount lmk if you want to troll I can email you the info
@@TrilogyMedia Hey guys, did the couple get back in touch with you since and give an update? Hope they got everything cleaned up and are protected now.
I love that G9 can talk to them through their speakers 😂 it kills me every time. I would literally shit my pants if someone started talking to me through my computer speakers
I get jump scared when my RU-vid pauses then starts playing again. I couldn’t imagine the absolute fear if they started actually addressing me and describing things. I’d probably get a heart attack 😂
Well, back in Feb. There was a huge BofA data leak..... which may not have impacted the victims in this case, however...... it COULD be used as ammo for a scam.. "your bank leaked the info, LIKE BofA earlier this year"... or whatever other leak was being reported in media at the time. Scammers will use any tool given them, and media is a good source of scare tactics. Realizing that it's low to do so means you have something no scammer has... empthy, compassion, whatever you call it.. morals, decent upbringing, again, call it what you will. Scammers can speak and scam in many languages, but unlike you, me and any other decent person, giving a flying fu-- isn't one of them.
I love it when you convince victims--who often don't know who to trust--that you're the good guys. I suspect the amount of patience and persistence this takes is often very misunderstood by people who aren't immersed in the scam. Kudos to Trilogy Media and G9, for the ability to convince the victims, remain calm, then turn around and scare the crap out of the scammers! Another fantastic collab!
I can’t do this. There are two persons, someone either Indian accent calls you out of nowhere and wants all of your money. The other guys just want you to end the phone call and send no money. Who should I believe. Thinking who is the scammer shows low intelligence. You don’t need to identify the scammer. The worst case A which can happen is sending 100k in a cardbox. In the other case it’s at the worst case ending a call. Hmmmm so difficult to decide. Shall I give someone all my life savings or end a call, this guy was so nice and friendly 😡🤷🏼
Someone needs to create a good onboarding process for you guys; a lot of victims have a hard time figuring out who is the “good guy” and it’s hard to do that when you have two random guys, one with an accent, babbling about RU-vid and scammers.
@@7ERM1NALWell Mr "IT Cyber Security Professional"..... see if you can figure this one out. On my side of the platform as I'm trying to read through your comment part of one of your lines of type looks like someone took a pair of invisible scissors and sliced through it. The entirety of your comment is not able to be seen. So, maybe you ought to contact YT's internal IT, department and see if they can figure it out.😮
52:24 - A classic IT support issue: when you ask the user to restart the laptop, and they just put it to sleep and turn it back on, even though you specifically told them to hold down the power button
my landlady is an older woman and had a pop up come up on her screen. thankfully the first thing she did was call me when it came up before calling the number on it. I was able to go over and fix it for her so she didnt get scammed. she has been scammed in the past.
Agreed. I think sub consciously their brain is in content mode, rather than understanding the victim mindset, when they're in a lot of these convos. Not effective at quickly getting victims to know you're on their side.
my favorite is when hackers tell people that they will "go into their network and remove all the hackers". i keep hoping that one day i'll hear someone call them out for that nonsense.
This is exactly the video I wanted to see. Exciting beginning, going out to that couple who were so confused about your visit, thank goodness ( your teams goodness) they finally came to realise you were trying to help. I love your guts and determination, keep it up, you super heroes you!
Your latest video made me smile from start to finish. Ashton, Art, and G9, you are amazing human beings, and you truly do restore my faith in humanity. Thank you for dedicating yourselves to helping others, you're all very special people.
Trilogy Media……you are a true friend to helping people that have been scammed. I really do appreciate you. Thank you for all you do. It’s Annie from New Brunswick Canada.
Yup. I get she was just trying to be a good neighbor. But damn. God forbid two guys who do this for a living take the extra mile to show up and help someone. I hope she finds this video and reads the comments. 😂
@@flattcatt That neighbor is super ignorant and cannot stay out of other people business, if there were the Police and was investigating something and the neighbor were to interfere, they would have told her to shut up and go back inside. But some people try their best to interfere and cancel things and then someone will lose it all and its gone and no way of getting it back. The lost could be everything, because the nosey neighbor has convinced them to listen to the scammer and ignore these two men.
My dad got a pop up ad 2 weeks ago and he had the right idea to call me first. He did call them but also told them that his IT daughter is coming over to help him out and "she knows more about this stuff than me. She will call you guys if she needs any help." They hung up on him at that part. 😂😂😂 I'm so glad I took to studying IT. Actually it was partially thanks to you guys, pierogi and kitboga that I even considered IT and my engineer type brain to tinker with tech. Also thanks to you that I learned about mark Robert. So thank you all for this wonderful gift you keeps giving us and inspiring us.
Agent G9and Trilogy media you guys are the best. Agent G9 my goodness you are in a league of your own at such a young age you are going to make such a difference to finding and crushing scammers in the future thank you so much for everything you do.
You guys need to work on how you approach strangers. The panic in your voice, the urgency, and the persistence is perceived as untrustworthy. Approach calmly, ask how they are, introduce yourself, and then explain. Give them an info packet. Don't offer resources, give them. Then follow up with mailing them more information periodically. A simple "how to recognize scams" in different languages is so useful. Also a "what to do if you've been scammed" Just calm down PLEASE it is not helping
If you would aproach my old ma with the behavior you just told she would later tell "they had to be scammers, daily stealing, icecold and not one drop of sweat" 😄 I know what you mean but don't forget dealing with older people can be challenging. And on top they both have a lot of passion for what they do, safing as many as possible and maybe that looks like what you see as "Panic/Urgent"...
@@Itsa-Mess I work in social services with adults of all ages. I have done many door knocks for people I've never met. Usually the calmer and more compassionate I am, the less likely they are to think I'm suspicious. Urgency and panic is the worst thing you can do. You can see how confused these people are and they really don't want to collaborate at first.
@@lordfumblesquid then you have a lot more experience, maybe they read comments and take notes. I really just wanted to share how I saw it. When you do so much in so many different fields you can't be great 100% in every level you work in. Maybe it's better to have a "first contact handler", so the passion/panic can't kick in or so... I like them and their work is so important! I'm not even in the USA, I'm german and even here it's bad with scams. Two houses away from mine lives a old man, 93 years old. He owns a lot of houses in our city and everybody knew it. He lost 400000€ because two men came to his door, told they're from the police and that they had to make sure that his money is real/not fake. So he gave everything he had laying around at home. Gave it all away... Scams are disgusting, protect your elders, sadly it's happening less these days...
Unfortunately, this victim seems to be embarrassed or in denial. She's really hesitant to believe you two are the good guys. I hope she starts believing befire it's too late
It was just due to a very bad approach initially. When even the neighbors intervene you have the best proof of a ADHD approach not adapted to the victims.
I was hoping that you would get there and help them in time. And I'm so glad that you guys saved them in time. All of you guys (Art, Ashton, Trilogy media team & G9) are awesome.
29:26 I just imagine Art and Ashton chasing after scammers wen they are a hundred... no need to use mortimer's old voice anymore it will be for real 😂😅 ahhh heyy get back here my bones can't move that fast 😂😂😂
This was so freaking amazing!! It was great to see the dynamic duo in action and then to see the behind the scenes stuff with @AgentG9... So freaking EPIC!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thank you so much for everything that you guys do!!
I've missed so many live streams due to work, kids, and family...I'm so happy to be able to relax and watch these videos 📹 ❤ much love to #TeamTrilogyMedia
Yall need to find a way to not freak out ppl when you first come to their house. Maybe you can have a tablet and show them the screen of hacker working with you or something. I know if ppl showed up out of the blue I would be very resistant at first
Great job Trilogy Media and G9 who helped the older couple. Loved the video. Keep up the great work you are doing. Love your content and videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a business owner, it is ALWAYS best to remove your sunglasses when speaking with anyone...!!! I learned this decades ago from the best boss ever...! And, also by watching Nascar interviews, the 'respectable' drivers take em off...! The 'A-holes'(KyleBusch), leave em on...! It shows respect to who you're speaking with...!!! Most people make eye contact while in conversation and makes them think, if he's hiding his eyes, what else will he hide...!?
Hey Agent G9, you are a very impressive young man. I am so glad that you are protecting your identity -- that is so important. Thank you so much for everything you do for us. You are making a huge difference in the world.
I’m a very paranoid person and I was just thinking what I would do if two men showed up at My house. Even in broad daylight, I don’t answer the door to anyone. I mean, I WOULD answer for Art and Ashton 😂
This video should be required watching, showing how these scammers work can help slow down this type of scam. Great work as always, and a great collab with Agent G9!!!
Hey Trilogy! I have been a fan of yours for about 4 or 5 years now. I just want to say, you all are awesome at what you do regarding saving people from scammers. You and G9 are the best! I know you are aware of your good works, but I just wanted to put in my 2 cents. If anyone in this world deserves public servant recognition, it's you guys!!! Thank You so much for what you do!!
Thank you all for everything that yall do, from the lives you do to things like this. I've lost about all hope for humanity, and then you and your team of great ppl come and renew my faith. A big thank you to everyone on your team for everything that yall do, I needed this after the worst 2 weeks of my life 😢. Keep the great content coming
Trilogy Media, Art and Ashton and team, THANK YOU. You all are absolutely amazing. In my opinion you all are ANGELS. The world needs more of people like you. Imagine if even a tenth of the scammers used their “skills” for good instead of evil. There’s a special place in hell for scammers. 👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹🌹
It’s so sad the victims never know who to trust. They are trusting the scammers because of their manipulation. Sometimes I feel like no matter how hard you try they never fully believe you.
If I have the time, I will play along with the scammer and play like im doing what their asking knowing that if I'm wasting their time, they aren't scamming someone else during their time wasted with me. I've dragged along romance scammers for over a month to several months before, taking screenshots of the scam the scammer highlights and sharing it on social media. I've even altered screenshots of gift cards to make it look like they were purchased and played dumb like there was a bank error or an online purchase error but the money was taken out of the bank and they would have to wait until my next pay day for me to buy more. By the end, they would be so so pissed off while I was laughing my ass off. One chick (dude) even called me trying to fake his voice as a female demanding I sent him money and I'm like so how does it feel to be scammed asshole? Oh boy, good times.
Started watching this channel yesterday.. I am already addicted...doing such an amazing work protecting the vulnerable ones.. All the way from South Africa.
Good job on the video. I’m glad that you guys added the ending because I know so many people loved seeing the sweet revenge on these assholes. A few years back I got scammed for $1000 while trying to get a loan and then right after I found a job that ended up being some kind of scam although they didn’t get any money out of me, but they got free work and I still don’t really know what it was, but I found out they were based in the UK somewhere and then another person tried to scam me while I was looking for another job telling me that she needed an assistant to run errands and cash checks and then send bitcoin and all of this crap and I instantly knew it was a scam, but I kept texting back and forth messing with them until I finally called them out. Anyways I say all of this because I know what it’s like to get scammed especially when you already have just about nothing and I genuinely loved seeing your work. Keep up the great work!!!
Another piece of advice. If you’re ever in doubt with who you’re talking to is a scammer or not…if you don’t have to wait on hold for a while before you get to speak to a human, it’s probably a scammer.
The largest issue was the approach. With a smarter approach without ADHD speak they had explained themselves much better. This took so long even the neighbors was suspicious, so the neighbor was the best proof of a bad approach.
