Late in the game here. People assume that the victims will be angry and out for vengeance. But for the most part victims are hurting, ashamed, and feel extremely vulnerable. You need to be *at least* as patient with them at that stage as you are at gathering information in the investigation stage.
I feel she stays in this because it fills a void in her life. She will not let this experience go...until she finds a replacement for her time and energy... unless he does piss her off horribly or someone dies...
