I get what you're saying but in reality there's nothing funny about this, it's their abusive behavior that coerces a lot of especially older folks into submission and losing all their savings.

Criminal acts like a piece of shit, surprise surprise....

It's part of their script. They are trying to intimidate and make the elderly anxious to make sure their victims follow their instructions more likely without asking questions. Remember, the victims think they could go to the prison 😉 for committing a crime.

@@mke_gal Fear is a tool often employed by people to manipulate others in a social engineering form. The brain on fear is a different form of cognitive thought. One solution is to encourage people to never deal with people over the phone(or even real life) who display unprofessional behaviour, even if it is not a scam. Just disengage if possible.

I remember one of the scammers hearing someone in the background of the victim not even saying anything they're just laughing and the scammer loses his mind saying he will stick his hotdog in her tunnel and peach and all these awful things I think scamming people gets to their head

surely there’s a way to set up some sort of reverse scam call centre where they have people employed to waste scammers time and ideally get information from them to stop them. maybe as some sort of charity thing idk lol would be a fun job tho good for struggling actors

​@@joedlvrHe was building an AI that could talk to scammers. I'm not sure how progress is going. I haven't seen it in a few months, but I haven't watched the stream much. It's very possible to have AI make these kinds of calls and waste time for a lot of people in these call centers.

The Sisyphean labyrinth he set up that makes scammers jump through an endless number of hoops to get their Bitcoin is pretty close to this. I think the issue with setting up a reverse scam center is that unless you did it very “under the radar,” you’d run up against the fact that a lot of scambaiting is in a bit of a legal grey area (for one thing the scammers are committing international wire fraud and a non-LEO knowingly engaging with it even in an antagonistic capacity isn’t certain to be upheld as legal in court) and, while scambaiters don’t run into trouble doing it on their own for entertainment purposes, as soon as you bring official legal employment into the mix you’re taking it into a place where the legality of it may actually be _questioned_ - as opposed to merely being _questionable_ - if that makes sense.

And this is absolutely real. More real than the reality tv shows

@@garysimmons3166 Yes. Kitboga's ripple effect is real and probably uncalculatable. I've taught my 75 year old neighbor/friend about scams and she legit asks "How's Kit doing?" and proudly tells me "I had a SCAM text today that I deleted!". She, has in turn, told her sister in a different state and her Zoomba class. I'm sure it kept going from there.

It's been around for about six months. But does change background scenes.

It actually works better with a less believable story. That way you filter out people that will catch on once the payment part of the scam comes up. If they can get them to believe that they're talking to the FBI, they're pretty likely to believe that bitcoin is a "security account."

@@jonathanbrown6034 Yes, it’s the same idea as those Nigerian prince emails. If you’re too smart, then you don’t even contact the scammers, and that means the people who DO get in touch are more likely to fall for it. Saves the scammers a lot of wasted time.

@@k.k.9378 I don't think many victims think about noise coming from the scammers' end because they believe they're talking to someone in a call center, which may boost their credibility to the victim (lest the scammers aren't yelling/abusive in the background). But scammers want their victims to be alone so there's less chance that they become informed of the scam by someone else.
