That Scamp layout is my ideal. I love that you're able to leave the bed stationary and have a separate stationary work space AND have a bathroom. PERFECT.
@@middleofwherever7157 Definitely can see why you'd wait for that exact layout. I think we'll be doing the same. Hoping to have one in time for fall foliage camping... if life allows.
Barron Link The overhead storage is awesome! Also I don’t know if you two already know about it, but there is a scamp meetup in Quartzsite, AZ in February. Soooo if you want to be like the majority of full time RVers and not freeze to death this winter 😂 it would be a good place for you two! It’s quite the drive for you though but it’s beautiful out here! ☺️
Awesome video. The wife and just getting into the camping lifestyle and checking out so many campers has been overwhelming. Y'alls video hit quick everything we're looking for. Thank y'all so much.
Very cool and very accommodating! That extra 3feet knocked up from a traditional 13ft is bonus!! The bathroom/kitchen is Soooo nice! Thanks for the tour guys! Keep putting out more vids.
We'll be getting our 16' Deluxe Scamp in May 2021 and really looking forward to it. We are in Washington state so we'll have a nice ride with our Rotty to go get it.
First thing I noticed was the “real oak” wood, I really don’t like the particleboard second thing was how organized, uncluttered and clean your Scamp was 😊 Thank you for sharing
Love your videos. Thank you. You said that you carry 2 weeks worth of food due to boondocking. Just curious, what all do you carry? What have you found that works best for you? Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy.
Just sub’d! This is the layout/model I am interested in. Don’t know if my Ford Edge can tow it . But thank you, I love the oak wood in the Deluxe, and I definitely need a bathroom! Lol! Starting to really consider this one! Be safe! God Bless!
I like the last shot. Creative use of a selfie stick. you guys are professional photographers. Ive never liked Scamps interior shots of the deluxe model , It looked excessively wooden and dark. Your colours make it look 100% different and really warm and comfortable. They should hire you to redo their website,
Your camper is beautiful! I had no idea they were that nice. Please tell me about your Tacoma. Is it 4wd with a tow package? (I have an ‘03 Tacoma 2wd and trying to get a feel for what it can reasonably tow) Many thanks and safe travels!
Thanks! Our Tacoma is 4wd with a v6 and manual transmission. It didn’t have a tow package. We had to install the hitch receiver and a brake controller. Instead of doing all the wiring for the brake controller, I used a Curt Echo Bluetooth controller. It saved us a lot of time and works really well. amzn.to/2zWgB3W
what do you think of the extended bed cutting into the cabinet, I assume on both sides? This video is one of the few sources I have seen of an example of that to know what it looks like. Is there enough space between the two to slide part of your body under? Otherwise, I'm not sure I see the point of losing the cabinet space.
Yes eating healthy is a good way to cook out doors and enjoy the camping experience , there is no better meal when cooked up from scratch and natural vegetables fresh meat and you're preference of herbs and spices then when the dish is ready to serve the son sets beyond the horizon and you sleep like a bear in hibernation snoring sound asleep in the confines of you're outdoor home away from home yes awesome :)
I wish mine was a 16' like this one so I could have a shower and a little more room. The 12' Scamps just done have enough conveniences. This 16 footer probably pulls just as easy.
Think you could survive in one of these in a connecticut winter? Thinking buying one to set up at my parents because I'm pathetic! Your trailer is awesome!!
Thanks! Scamps have uninsulated/unheated water lines running under the camper. Without making sure the water won’t freeze, you’ll definitely have broken pipes. It’s just not a 4 season camper.
We were open to buying a Scamp or a Casita. There was one layout made by both manufacturers that we wanted though. But we preferred the oak interior of the Scamp Deluxe and luckily found one for a lot cheaper than what they usually sell for. So we opted for the Scamp.
How much do one of these go for? I'm 19 going into the military and I know for a fact I want to live in one of these when I retire and never have to buy a house
