SCAMPTON THE GREAT - Deltarune: Chapter Rewritten Fangame (Mercy & Fight routes) 

I beyond love the animation and design overall of the characters and fighting hud!!!!! AMAZING!!!!

I love how even the creators didn't post a gameplay first , really shows this was a hit.

A cool detail I saw is that Asriel and Noelle have "Magic" actions, while Charkis has "Act" actions, because Humans can't do magic. Also, this fangame is incredible! I love the art, the music, the creative attacks, everything!

I like how this fight differentiated from Jevil. Jevil’s fight felt like you were against a demented protagonist from an old 90’s computer. Scampton’s fight feels like you’re against a Loony’s Tune character obsessed with games.

the fact that Scampton’s cell key is called the “ChromaKey” is actually really interesting, not only does it sound like Kromer, but it may also be a reference to Chroma Keying, which serves a similar function to green screening, the keys that fit into scamptons cell are Red, Blue and yellow, which also function well with Chroma Keying.

I love the attention to detail like how equipping the big shot bow tie and/or the pipis popper makes scampton say "did you steal my likeness?" Like he knows the gear is from him. This fight was hard but I love it. Especially the train parts.

Everything about this is absolutely amazing. I just can't find the words to express just how much I love this. It has got to be the best Deltarune fangame yet.

Ever since the BIG BANG post, I couldn't stop imagining how the battle would take place with the view point behind the protagonists. You have no idea how happy I am just seeing this. You and the team did an amazing job!

This really goes down to one of the best deltarrune fangames, I mean SadBread's coding is always the best, The Joker with amazing bangers and your AU so good and the sprites and the writing team anddd ughhh !!! Well done !!

I don't know if someone said this before, but, I love the little dialog between Charkis and Noelle, showing their personalities. I would love more of the fun gang in this project.

The amount of dummy fight references in this fight made me really happy. She's my favorite character so I loved seeing them. And I keep realizing more! Like "WHO NEEDS FRIENDS WHEN YOU'VE GOT [[500 pounds of pure steel]]?"

the change of perspective (having the pov be behind the fun gang people), actually being able to roll dice, and the parrying mechanic from cuphead really makes me appreciate chapter rewritten so much. I didn’t even know parrying could work so well in deltarune! This was so cool to watch! (I don’t have a computer so I can’t play.) Now I just want a Junkil fight lol. Hats off to you and everyone who made this silly game with an even sillier puppet man!

Now THIS was a fire experience to play! Everything about it felt spot on. Even the soul mechanic was just… satisfying! Instant 10 out of 10 for me!

Hands down one of THE coolest fangames I've EVER played. Not only has [[BIG BANG]] been in my head ever since I heard it originally, but I've also been waiting to see more of our favorite Scamp for quite some time!! Also, gotta say, character designs are top-notch. Noelle taking elements from Snowdrake and So Cold with the antlers and starting to melt when downed, its great. Even better, shes not even that tough, just proper, like her mother. Charkis is also another design I love. As a huge Chara fan I have to say its perfect. The clover hat, the sickle weapon, and the flowers appearing in her ITEM animation. Overall, stupendous stuff The Winterer and co.! I really cant wait for whatever Junkil may have in store. (Seeing as theres about two audio files with his name in them in the files... 👀) 10/10!

Okay, not related to the fangame at all, but the character you use as your sona (at 00:00) looks really cool!

I had a blast while playing this, the sprites when you hit scampton look similar to the ones from Pizza Tower and the parry mechanic is so fun but at the same time challenging to play. Really cool, I hope Junkil will get a game to!

The laugh is still terrifying!! Idk where you pulled it from but I love it!! I love everything about this so much, but the animation for his final attack may be my favorite, it’s so cool! I’m usually not much of a fangame person but I may have to try this one out just based on appearance, because damn it’s impressive!

i was completely caught off guard by the "Change of Perspective". I've always sort of missed Undertale's style of the front-facing view of enemies, and the way the party members' sprites are rendered here is perfect. i think the parry soul is my favorite soul type yet

This was amazing. The art was good, music was topnotch But of course, the parry mechanic is so unique. It actually has you chasing the bullets. Everything about it was great. I hope in the future you guys do something similar with junkil, thatd be a blast to play.

I played this for myself (first time doing deltarune mechanics on a laptop) and I have to say I had so much fun. It was a challenge but I was able to both spare and kill the funny nose man. The music is a banger, the mechanics are fun (I LOVE GAMBLING!!!1), and the art is incredible. Good job on the fangame! I will definitely play any other content related to this, it's an enjoyable experience!

From the old car horn to the Scampton ass, I love how this game doesn’t quite take itself seriously, but still retains ridiculous quality, especially for a fangame. This is my new favorite Deltarune fight. Amazing job!!

Everything you all had shown from this fight has been absolutely amazing, and the full thing did not disappoint. Everybody who worked on this did an absolutely *phenomenal* job on their parts, this is without a doubt one of the best Deltarune fangames out there!

Still proud I no-hit this chaotic masterpiece, I didn't think I'd be able to given how complicated the fight felt but it was such a fun experience and the parry mechanic was such a joy to use.

(Also, off topic, my phone's screen broke when I first came across this so it made me think that Charkis had Kris' dark world colour scheme until I changed devices. Okay what the hell is a Junkilpede I was playing this at 1 AM and you got me. This was a vaguely creepypasta-esque experience so I might as well embrace it. So I was excited to play it. I had to attend my grandma's really draining birthday party the day it was released, but while unwinding on RU-vid the next night, I saw this video. I downloaded the game as soon as I could, and booted it up. Maybe I should have just gone to bed though. It was about 11:30, and for the next hour and a half, I was just trying to beat Scampton. Eventually I start learning some useful information, like that you need to move away from the blue entities after you hit them since the invulnerability window isn't particularly long. I was getting better, but I never got past 67% SPARE. Eventually I'm resorting to rolling some dice, and I get a 6- nothing. Well, normally nothing. This time, an image of a worm(?) with Junkil's color palette appears in front of Scampton and the text just asks "What have you done...?" A weird gag, I suppose, but that's just a fun Easter egg, right? Here's where it gets weird- the music cut out, and a much slower song with what I can only assume are the voices of Junkil selling something starts playing instead. Maybe had I been in a better time I'd have laughed, but it was 1:30 AM. I'm a big fan of BIG BANG, so I try to get the music back. I figure that if rolling a 6 got me here, then I should try 8- the other nothing! Perhaps I should have expected this, but as it said, nothing happened. Fine, then I'll try 6 again. But it didn't fix anything, it made it worse. Junkil worm comes back, with a different message that I honestly forgot. And the music doesn't just continue, a second layer of the weird Junkil noise music starts playing. How far does this go? I try again, and this time I'm told to "succumb to the Junkilpede" (I think) as another layer begins playing. At this point I wonder if maybe this is a hidden secret wincon! Maybe I can annoy Scampton by overloading him with Junkilpede. But... I just get more "succumb to the Junkilpede"s. It doesn't end. Eventually I die, and on another attempt, I immediately roll for the 6. But nothing happened. Junkilpede abandoned me. I have to wonder if I'll ever see him again... Oh wait I said I'd make this a creepypasta-esque comment. AND THEN I DIED. DONT PLAY THE GAME PAST 1 AM OR JUNKILPEDE WILL EAT YOU TOO!!!

I like that each character is useful in its own way, regardless of whether you attack or spare. As in other games, you think through tactics and stick to it throughout the battle, but there are quite a lot of its options.

Seeing Deltarune AUs instead of constant undertale ones is kinda refreshing.

This fight was really cool, the parry mechanic makes the whole fight a fun battle of risk and reward to get that PP! (…And I have to ask, does PP stand for “parry points” or “pipis points”) And plus, I got to attempt voicing Noelle and Charkin at the start, which makes it even better. Adding your own occasional scampton lines makes it even cooler though! Well done to everyone who worked on this!

I love how the game has a mix of different sounds, most notably the cuphead parry and the wonky music in the background of the music from a meme I can’t quite remember, but I also when listening heard a faint sound that sounded suspiciously like one the noises made by well the noise from pizza tower and a great amount of other things that i just forgot but still one of my favourite soundtracks.

I love the use of the parrying sound from cuphead when you hit the blue objects.

Charkis is my favorite character! Whoever designed them has my respect
