scanlan is surprisingly the most reliable despite his quirks, coming in clutch so many times throughout the series. he solo'd the dragon he managed to wound the indestructible sphinx, saving his party from falling forever he almost killed a duke of Whitestone, on his own, also burning down his house creating a distraction
Bards man, just because they are charismatic and most use them as scoundrels doesn’t mean they are always troublemakers, when moral is low it’s up to them to get over themselves and lift his party spirits. Theres a reason why they are usually the face of the party. Bards are for all intents and purposes are heroes who would rather play a tune and laugh then wallow and cry when in pain. They will always be the last to break cause once even the lovable bard who faces adversity with a tune falls to despair many more will follow. Big reason why the party thought he was the one who “had it figured out”
@@heyjoji1954 they're my favorite because of it's shear versatility. each class has it's own unique specialty that mostly revolves around combat and has a few out of combat abilities. bards are the literal jack of all trades seeing as they are just as good in combat as they are out of it. able to be a combat aficionado and being a master at every other skill and each class is limited by thier options of subclass of how they want to play. but the bard subclasses don't follow that rule, you can be a bard and have about a dozen different options on how you want to play your character instead of just saying 'this guy is a thief with special skills in this particular area'.
Well he is the goddamn MVP at the table. Glad to see he’s getting some of it here even though he’s largely been nerfed so far. He first catches her then rallies the team against Ripley and I cannot wait to see him shutting down Vecna at every turn later on too.
@@Omega1867 I just wonder how they're going to incorporate the heartbreak of Scanlan being forced to use that final 9th level spellslot he was trying to conserve so he could save Vax with a Wish.
@@Allantitan Oh, there's no way that's not the epilogue. Even if Search for Grog doesn't make the cut, the wedding scene is one of the most poignant moments in the entire series. The adaptation wouldn't be complete without it.
He was also a Kingslayer as well by this point in the campaign. Dragonslayer just doesn’t have the same tone in my opinion. It was still badass though and he avenged Kami too.
Scanlan isn’t the strongest, or the smartest, or the bravest. Hell, he isn’t even the most reliable 80% of the time. But when the group ABSOLUTELY needs a miracle, he always seems to come through.
Scanlan dual wielding with magic, imagine how powerful, especially since one of them literally gets stuck anywhere. Any time scanlan says the magic word. Dude, scanlan dual wielding AND with his magic, if he ever gets better and uses magic without the music, and just vocals, it’s gonna be so good
Scanlan being a boss here. I really wish they showed more of his kills/saving the party from the table. By the time he got Mythcarver, that had happened several times. I do like them switching it to him killing Unbrasyl though because now Scanlan has avenged the Sphinx who was his friend.
Shout out to Robbie King for this comment I have shamelessly stolen So sorry, Umbrasyl, this gnome just scored a kill. You got Scanlan’d~! You got Scanlan’d~!
