this is the most exquisite version available - Dan's understanding of the rhythm of this piece leaves all the other versions in the dust an extraordinary privilege to listen to very many thanks
only 472 views. This is epic, welly done, well played, virtuoso. Vocal melodies done right. Might be one of, if not the best acoustic versions I've heard...I've heard many...trust me. NICE JOB from one Dan to another.
@@danbluedeer Yes, i feel the same about my wife's music...it did take a few years and connections though. It's funny, skilled stuff has low views and tracking...and the more trendy stuff has a gazillion. Keep up the fine work.
today only 4839 views , it´s totally underrated. But it´s because most people today doesn´t understand real music. Just look at all this socalled populary music ´pop ´ music...... it´s really without any soul. To play or should we just say ´make ´music today all you need is E , A , F , G chord and you good to go not to mention a song text there may not be too complicated ( read ´today you get away with just a few repeating words and some woho sounds ) Im not just some ´starting to get old ´ nostalgists bragging about how it was better back in the old days and all this bla bla ..... But there is some truth in it. Thats why great music like this never get many views. It´s a shame because this is really quality .
A long time favorite of mine, especially this canticle version S&G did. Your performance here is so delicious, I had to close my eyes and listen several times. Smiling and savoring every note. Thank You!
I really prefer traditional folk tunes to the majority of “classical” music. People think that traditional European music is just sterile boring music for rich people and the only “authentic” music comes from other cultures.
You're playing is so beautiful! Definitely one of the best acoustic arrangements I've heard on here as well! I would like to learn this song and try to play your arrangement (might take a long time to master like you, but I'd still like to give it a go with your more unique and complex arrangement!). May I ask, by any chance, whether there is a tab so I could learn it? Thank you so much! :)
Thanks Christy... I had declared Sept. 1 to be the last day for giving out scores because I get many, many requests and it takes way too much time. But, I'll make an exception for you because - well, just because. I'll need your email address
@danbluedeer first of all: come on, Man! Playing like that without even looking at the fretboard!!?? But seriously, beautifully played. Near flawless. Thank you for sharing
Mr. Estrem, I was wondering if you could play some Jim Croce...Time in a bottle, Operator or something else by him you like. I think it would be magic. TY again.
You put the song on the next level! Congrat! Is the sheet music available? If it is not, can you tell me the tuning? Thank you, and keep up the good work!
Thanks! somebody wrote some notation a while back (I haven't studied it yet) but see what you think. have fun with it. tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/daniel-estrem/scarborough-fair-guitar-pro-4170349
Sir this song was taught in our school, in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. You played it so well. Scarborough Fair ❤️❤️ I second the opinion that you played it the best by far. I watched so many videos on RU-vid, but yours is the best.
I would request you to play “Top of the World” by the Carpenters someday 😊 ❤️. Even this song was taught in my school. Now that I have moved out of Kolkata and residing in Mumbai since last 10 years, I get nostalgic while hearing these songs. Your playing is so soothing to the ears❤️😊. Thanks.
IT took me by surprise about your anwer but thanks a lot ...... l thinks you have a mission in your life ...is to put up when someone is feeling down..you are the doctor & your music is the medicine.God bless you!!!!!
Best arrangement of this song in my opinion, and I've seen a lot! I love the different takes in each part! Is there a tab available for purchase? I would love to try playing it myself.
@@ianbrade7754 I live in St. Paul, Minnesota USA recitals are a thing of the past -RU-vid keeps me playing more than anything, although concerts were challenging and rewarding too
@@danbluedeer keep it up! I'm glad you're still playing but sorry I only discovered you late on. People like yourself and Martin Taylor in the UK (yes, I like jazz guitar too) have given your time so generously on social media and helped keep us all sane during the pandemic. Bravo
Also watching you reminds me of my childhood in England. The father of one of my mates constructed several medieval instruments which he also learned to play. A very interesting family who I wish I was still in touch with.
Magnificently performed, although only with the true hands of an artist could these things have been achieved, yet you have surpassed them all. Best wishes. 😁😁😁🍀And 1 more shamrock, not for good luck 🍀🍀🍀. You don't need it for you have transcended all of anyone's hopes and dreams. (MAGNIFICENT) $$$$$. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💥👍
P. S by the way, those who put a thumbs down, if you don't like it then don't listen to it. For the only time wasted was your own. For myself I enjoyed every minute of this composition. 😁😁😁🍀
I can remember my fave fic character who's also a legendary musician, Frankie Presto!! 🤟🎸 Beautiful music does that to a lot of people. You remember things. It's just wonderful.
Hi Daniel, I've been following for some time! I admire your interpretations very much, I play the reinassaince lute and I was wondering if you had any arrengment for this piece in the lute?
As said on the other comments, you ought to get more attention, now than ever since everyone's social distancing, nevertheless everybody's high up on their arses with pop and trap music, you're the reason I want to return to play and study classical guitar
@@danbluedeerit was more than great. I'd like to hear you folk originals, as it inspires me in my own folk/metal inspirations. and with NO capo, which seems an irrelevant aspect to your playing!
Out of curiosity, would you ever put this on Spotify or a similar platform? It's so amazing, I want to be able to listen to it all the time! But if not, that's alright, too :))) I'll just keep coming back here!
Very well done.. the S&G version is one of my favorite songs to play on the guitar. It's too bad that tabbing all this out or making a video tutorial would involve an obscene amount of effort from you. Otherwise I would request some way to learn it. Alas, I guess I should just enjoy the music. Thanks again!
Isaac -Thanks for listening --since you mentioned it so politely I thought I should let you know that a player transcribed my video with both notation and tab. If you send your email I'll send you the file
Hello! Thank you for your gorgeous performance. I can't stop listening to it for several days already. Is it possible to get the sheet music for this arrangement?
