I have known that Apollo 5 has joined Voces 8 on several occasions. I was not aware until recently that Apollo 5 is a part of the Voces 8 Foundation! Perhaps the room looks a little familiar as well. This was recorded in the Voces 8 Centre where so many of the Voces 8 videos have been done. I'm not aware of who the arranger is. I'll try to find out. i knew that Apollo 5 would become one of your favorites!

I should have looked more closely at the introduction. The intro clearly says this was arranged by Fraser Wilson.

As usual, your analysis is spot on. To be honest, I have only ever really listened to the Simon and Garfunkel version which also overlays Canticle on top. But they can't do both live with only two people. Listening to this makes me want to go find other versions. There have to be a lot since this song has been around for well over 100 years. Oh - at one point the gentleman on the right sings alone and his tenor voice is just beautiful!

Actually, there's a version of Scarborough Fair sung by Mike Masse and Sterling Cottam here on YT where Mike sings the Canticle AND Paul's part! I actually think it's BETTER than the S&G version if that's possible! Check it out!

Not to take anything away from this fantastic traditional arrangement, Jeff... but if you're interested in the absolute BEST Simon and Garfunkle version INCLUDING the Canticle... check out Mike Masse and Sterling Cottam's version here on YT! Like Leonid and Friends it is actually BETTER than the original recording!
