That's just chester. Let me break down the lore for you. Chester is in love with his friend Parker, who is in love with the people who call him to help, and chester is also the one who always wants to leave, while Parker is always the one who wants to stay and help, unless the girl he comes to help, already has a boyfriend.
Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved (Romans 10:9-13)
That's because horror and comedy both build on the same fundamental premise: taking things you recognize as mundane, and twisting them into something unfamiliar. Comedy does this in a way that's meant to make you see serious things as being ridiculous, and horror does it in a way that's meant to make you question how comfortable you should be amongst familiar surroundings. When done well, both can be very effective at their respective tasks, but when done poorly, horror arouses the feeling of absurdity rather than unease that's more appropriate for comedy, and comedy done poorly arouses either boredom for not being funny and thus not changing your perspective on anything, or else being so painfully unfunny that it becomes cringe, causing you to be repulsed from the discomfort of it the same way you would feel repulsed from a well-done horror scene. The overlap between the two genres is actually quite fascinating.
The visuals they come up with are surprisingly pretty chilling. But any of the creepiness is eliminated when these two numbskull cheeseballs open their mouths. Theyre way too goofy.
"I'm Genuinely concerned with this family and their safety." "I'm not helping her and going in that room lets just get out of here." Consistent script writing as always.
I unironically enjoy this type of content. The puppet could actually be unnerving but the acting and the ending makes it so goofy and it's such a treat
I unironically love these guys, while they aren't the best I get the feeling they just have so much fun making these Chester alone brings so much personality along
“He has no hand” is more likely referring to the fact that it’s a puppet, and he has no way to control the puppet. The “they’re probably fine” at the end had me dead tho
Honestly their models and ability to create something that looks like genuinely unnerving is *amazing* but every other part of their videos is godawful, but I don't think they're trying to pass it off as real, so I'll give it a pass
I feel bad about his sidekick ‘cause he’s actually trying to sell his performance. Meanwhile the main guy stubbornly insists on speaking in lowercase, even when he’s supposed to be screaming from fear.
I love how they always leave the people they try to “help” for dead at the end of the video. Who would ever ask for their help if they literally always gtfo when shit goes sideways?
Gotta love the guy who doesn’t take his sunglasses off at night or inside, as well as the fact they are sleeping in two massive beds right next to each other
Usually they're sleeping in the same bed. I also loved the POV of him losing his sunglasses in the doll attack and then picking them up before fleeing. Man knows his priorities. 😎
I actually respect these guys. The effort that they put in the videos is pretty nice with some decent scares here and there. I genuinely enjoy watching them, partly because of the bad acting and how they just fucking bail when it goes bad.
3:43 "Is there an extended universe of Life of Luxury?" Yes Charlie, it's called reality. Real life. All of these videos are 100% real and have happened.
I love the absolutely pathetic throw of the clearly empty paint can knocking out the dad. The ending is perfect too. "We watched a demon kill two people as we ran away scared and didn't call the cops...Thanks for watching!"
I have pediophobia so Timmy is unironically the most terrifying thing in existence. Edit: no I'm not afraid of pedophiles, it's misleading I'm aware but Google says "Pediophobia, or the fear of dolls, is believed to be a type of automatonophobia, or fear of humanoid figures. Some people are afraid of all dolls and stuffed toys, while others fear only a specific type. Dolls that talk or move and old-fashioned china dolls are especially common targets of fear."
I don't know about scary but it's definitely more fun. It kind of annoys me that people are so caught up on high production value and acting standards that they can't appreciate little passion projects like this.
One of the kids I look after is obsessed with these videos, we watch them every time and think they’re the highest form of comedy. I near enough piss myself laughing every video honestly
I like how chester is the Albert Wesker of the Life of Luxury universe, he uses sunglasses on middle of the night and indoors. Also he put 'em right after waking up lmao
Honestly, even though they’re trying to make it a comedy, it’s still good. They can make decent props, the jokes are pretty good, and they can make a decent production.
Honestly, I love that channel. It’s clearly a passion project, and I think it showcases the best of RU-vid. It may not be high production, but it’s entertaining godammit
4:54; There are two beds, and yet they chose to sleep in the same one, which I think is proof enough that these two characters are lovers, which would also explain why earlier in the episode the blond one was angry that the other one was interested in the girl.
I genuinely love these guys. They know how bad their stuff is and play it for laughs. They do try at the same time. I think they're genius. Way better than what they used to do. They have really improved
The comedic elements make these funny as well as a little scary. I guess my only complaint is that most of the horror elements are the same in each video, usually a long limbed, gangly, monstrous person
Parker's "character" is so incredibly insufferable that I thought his personality was the monster. Chester is sweet though, actually does remind me of Karl Jacobs.
The only thing scary about these videos are the fact that Chester never seems to take off his sunglasses even when it’s night time or when he’s sleeping LOL
If I'm being honest the entire series is kinda a hit or a miss. If it misses, you get a decent watch and a chuckled out of it, but if it hits, which sometimes they often do, it can REALLY creeped you out, and gets you unconformable with the video. And I also really appreciate they didn't do the trashy cheap horror content like how imjaystation did, along with other scummy RU-vidrs that often defamed someone's name whether they're dead or alive for mere content. You can kinda see the effort they went through with the props, character design, and tried the best with their acting, although at this point, I'm convinced they intended for the acting to be as awkward as how it was portrayed xD
I have a small theory regarding life of luxury and i think they make their video by hiring some kid in a costume to be it and the hand part is a idk prop?
Theres a niche market for Syfy level horror that mocks and mimics real horror films while being genuine and thats what i hope is happening here because they nailed it.
These people are comedic geniuses. At first I questioned whether or not it was parody. But the cameraman pushing their beds together sealed the deal for me lmao
Hey Charlie, I came across this beautifully crafted detective game recently, The return of the Obra Dinn, I know i should have stumbled upon it earlier, but even today it still remains arguably the best detective game ever made. And the first thing that came in my mind was to watch you experience the game. You are fabulous with reasoning and you deduction skills when it comes to dealing with people is awesome. So if you can spare the time and the effort, please consider playing this game. I would really really appreciate it.
The more unbelievable the content is, the farther it spreads. Idiots that think it's actually trying to be passed as realistic are the ones that engage and spread it the most. Lol.
