@@PegwinVRyou could maybe call those 12-6 if you imagine that the clock is on the floor instead of the wall but they’re definitely not vertical. They’re not perpendicular to the floor, which is all that most (not all) of the refs consider 12-6
This was early UFC. No rules, no weight limits. I saw a 145 pound man kick a 320 pound man in the face and wind up having 4 teeth pulled out of his foot.
I have met big daddy gary a few times. We used to fix his car, my friends uncle was his manager back in the day. That dude in his prime was a head of the curve.
The first one is Garry Goodridge... A scary guy. A world champion arm wrestler before becoming a cage fighter. Beat the goat John Breznk in his prime.. and later in MMA, got beaten by Gegard Mousasi, the current middle weight contender in Bellator.. How crazy is that😮😮
Gary goodridge, what a finish that was, he had the wrist lock option in the crucifix but decided on elbows because his face was exposed, what a beast!😂
There were no rules then, but you did sign a waiver absolving the promoter, venue, all fighters, all staff, and all advertisers from any monetary or other damages. So you knew the chances were good that you wouldn't see another day.
