His short and stocky physique matched perfectly with his peekaboo style.. practically curled up in a ball, bobbing left and right, always moving forward and keeping the pressure on.. avoiding the taller fighters lengthy jabs and catching them one to the body, then one to the jaw.. lights out. Hard to imitate unless you have similar physique. In almost all cases, it's better to be tall with long reach like current champ Tyson Fury and late great Muhammed Ali.

Boxing could come back today if the best fought the best again. But now they get so many lay ups and easy wins it’s hard to be invested in an undefeated fighter. Especially when the media and seemingly most of the fan base writes them off after 1 or 2 loses. That’s why I’ve stuck with watching the ufc. You really see the force with which he's punching when he misses. His arm goes through the full range of available motion in the air, and anything that gets caught in it's way is going along for that ride because the dude hits like a train.

I respect the fighters who didn't do trash talk, stood up like a man to Mike and fight till the end. They just couldn't do much to a guy who wanted to hurt them and kill them. Especially with these skills.

Epitome of speed and power. I get the power part, but so amazed by his speed. The strength it takes to throw that much power in a millisecond. Unbelievable 🤯 he makes it look easy. Mike is great and deserves all the recognition. But so does Cus, and I want to know how Cus reached through to Mike. I need a Cus in my life.

I remember as a kid, when boxing was still legal in Norway we had a boxer fighting a match in Las Vegas. We had to watch it at my uncles place, he had a satellite dish. Our guy was mediocre he lost, I remember its was still kinda interesting in a way. But after that came the main event, with Mike Tyson... I looked at Mike and thought, tsss this dude is way too big. Slow af, heavy weight is boring. A boxing match has never again made the same impression on me. This was the Iron Mike up and coming at his prime, he was as fast or faster then a feather weight, with lightning fast reflexes and a technique that was godly. I cant remember who his opponent was but he was totally outclassed. He didn't stand a chance. Later on the sports news we had a interview with our guy, and they started talking about Mike. He said yeah I know Mike we used to train in the gym together. I was like wow, he knows Mike? I was a instant fan.

It became known if you ordered the PPV or were going over to someone's house to watch it don't go to the bathroom or go get something to eat or drink and definitely don't show up late cause in the blink of an eye you'd be watching a the knockout on replay as the entire house was screaming in shock and amazement. Tyson PPV was truly a spectacle of its own. Nowadays people complain if they see a main event on a PPV card and it goes 12 rounds. Back then no one ever felt like they got robbed for paying for it even if it only lasted 1 or 2 rounds. You only complained about missing it happen live, but never like you got robbed and paid for money for nothing!
