►About the Game -
Do you believe in the existence of Christmas elves that appear on New Year's Eve and Christmas? If so, then most likely you have heard of the good elves. But imagine that there are still evil elves. They create madness and can come to you at any time if they get bored. They are watching you and testing you. Or maybe they just want to have fun. Will you play by their rules?
Dima is a graduate student. His family is planning a move. Finally, this day came on the seventh of September, Dima and his parents are moving into a new apartment. A few weeks pass and Dima receives a funny Christmas Elf doll as a gift. With her appearance, strange things begin to happen in the house.

As a person from a post-USSR country, so many objects from the game bring so many vivid flashbacks. There are minor americanizations but they could be intentional. Also, it's funny to see Chris walking by a graffiti sign saying 'dick' being blissfully unaware :D

I really wish it would've been just the horror doll. The "ghosts" and what not didn't make any sense. The first jumpscares worked but they got old pretty quick. Horror is not about startling the player with a sudden loud sound... the reflection was subtle and I wish the game went in that direction. Ah well... At least the end was really the end without another cheap jumpscare. Thanks for playing, Chris!

The jump scare after you flushed the toilet really got me! Most of the time I can anticipate when something's going to jump, but you weren't required to go in there so I really didn't expect a new scare! This was a super fun watch, thanks for playing!

Really what can I say about this game, that I haven't already said when it comes to games made by this developer. Every single one of these developer's games have just been UE4 Horror Engine walking sims that solely rely on Jumpscares. Again nothing wrong with that, but considering that 90% of current UE4 Indie Horror games have been these Horror Engine walking sims that of course rely on only Jumpscares, all these games just blend together which in turn makes them become pretty forgettable.

I had to go to the ER because of this: 20:40 It got me that much, that the jumpscare ended with actual blood, I cut my lip at work. When me and my coworker arrived to the hospital, it was crowded with covid patients. After waiting about an hour, my lip hadn't stopped bleeding, my coworwer dissapeared for a moment and come back in a blink, he asked me: how well do you endure the pain? He stiched my lip when we arrived back to the workplace. I didn't expected this, what can I say, is the first time I get hurt because of watching a playthough

I really liked the set design? or whatever you'd call it in this one. The clutter and decorations in the background were unique and gave a real feeling of place. Nice change from all the carbon copy haunted houses a lot of indie horror games have.

One thing we can establish for sure. Dima's parents would be delighted after such house improvements! Glad to see russian cousins still have vital power to do some creative work rather than rooting for dysfunctional war. And all the best to Emika's comeback after his forced "retirement" from Steam! I would gladly make my annual eastern european trivia under this one because there is a lot interesting things to say but current issues don't help it so I'll pass for now.

I Will say you are spoiling some of the jump scares for us with the intro. I saw the curtain and was waiting for the scare every time you went through the door so I wasn’t scared when it happened; but I love Emika games and the way they are funny with their translations and good scares!

Sometime I do doze of to sleep watching Horror Let's Plays, but I didn't have any nightmares. I do hear jumpscares noises, which it did was me up calmly out of my sleep. I was just too tired that night coming home from work. So I watch it later the next day for enjoyment until my brain is fully rest. I can't watch horror games soon after work anymore. 😅

Merry belated Christmas, mate. Well, this one had some decent atmosphere. Not much to write home about, just your average indie horror experience with the usual flaws. Those jump-scares really good old towards the end - not that they were anything amazing to begin with. Also, how is it that the protagonist has nothing to say about disappearing dolls and crawling women, but the most mundane things like an open door surprise him? Lastly, I do believe we are well past the age of having such call-outs to other content creators, which makes these games seem more like a cry for attention than anything else. Overall, September 7th is nice to look at and has a bit of mystery going on, but it is nothing I would remember after a night at the pub.
