I met Dave Sheridan (Doofy/The Killer) at a comic con and he’s the nicest coolest guy ever. He was in character part of the time but when he saw that we knew him from a couple other movies he did he got so excited and chatted with us about them. A true all star!

@6:02....eyyyy, out of all the horror movies you've seen, all the tension building moments that lead to a jump scare....my man got tweeked by a electric chastity belt. I laughed for almost five minutes straight til my stomach hurt. This is gonna go down as the best "jump scare" on this channel, possibly in history....LOL

One of my favorite little jokes is how Scream had Henry Winkler (The Fonz) as the principal and this movie has David Landers (Squiggy) as their principal. Little treat for us Happy Days/ Laverne & Shirley fans. He even has a poster for Shotz Beer in his office. That was the fake company that Laverne & Shirley worked at at the beginning of the series.

Scary Movie was probably the funniest movie of 2000. They spoofed Scream I and II, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Matrix and The Usual Suspects. Sean & Marlon Wayans wrote most of the movie. A BTS video showed Sean explaining the writing process. He said they rewrote the movie multiple times because Keenan is such a tough critic. The first 10 mins of Scary Movie II is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Not a spoiler - They spoof the Exorcist in the beginning, so expect lots of references to that movie. What always bothered me as a 90s guy is that Scream was the original horror spoof. Then Scary Movie showed up, took nothing seriously and became the one everyone remembers. If you’re a true 90s kid, Scary Movie is funny, but you’ll never beat the original, untouchable Scream. And I say that as a white guy who kind of idolized the Wayans family in the 90s. My mom got me into Motown as a kid in the 80s against my dad’s wishes, and I never looked back. She got me into black music and comedy and British TV. She was Welsh and passed away last July. I still listen to funk, R&B and soul because she’d want me to. She was a white lady who loved black music.

12:04 - see this is a clever in-joke here. 'Principal Squiggy'. That actor played a character called Squiggy in the sitcom 'Laverne And Shirley' which was a spinoff of Happy Days. In the original Scream movie, the principal was played by Henry Winkler who played the Fonz in Happy Days.

be sure to always google which movies are the Scary franchise parodying cause its more than 1, for instance this one does Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, with elements of The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, and The Usual Suspects. Scary Movie 2 does The Exorcist, The Haunting, Poltergeist, and The Amityville Horror. so its best if you've seen them all before or you wont get the jokes.

Of course, it is best to watch the original movies to get all of the jokes for SCARY MOVIE 2. There may be dozens of references in Scary Movie 2 to movies, but here's the main movies you need to see: HOLLOW MAN (an excellent thriller, worth making a reaction), THE HAUNTING (an all star cast highlights this movie, and most of Scream 2 is a spoof of this specific movie), HOUSE (starring Richard Moll, excellent 80s scary movie, worth a reaction) WHAT LIES BENEITH (one of my favorite thrillers, worth a reaction), There's other movies. You should throw these up for a vote of which ones to see before Scary Movie 2.
