Fun Fact: The tongue used in the spoof of The Exorcist (1973) segment was the actual tongue used in The Exorcist (1973). What Script Fact: There are multiple instances of improving in the movie. One of the earliest examples, is James Woods improvised the line "Fu-ck this!" when Father McFeeley first sees the possessed girl. Layers And Layers Fact: Tori Spelling appeared in this movie and had a cameo in Scream 2 (1997), with Sidney (Neve Campbell) even joking in Scream (1996) that with her luck, Tori Spelling would be cast as a film version of herself. Scary Movie (2000) was a parody of the Scream film franchise, and Spelling's casting was yet another homage to said franchise. MPAA Hacks Fact: The scene of Tori Spelling and a ghost having intercourse and then smoking in bed afterwards, is a homage to a similar scene from the British movie Bloodbath At The House Of Death (1984) which also was about a group of scientists investigating a haunted manor. Originally rated NC-17 by the MPAA, that scene had to be cut to about a third of its original length for an R-rating. Director Keenen Ivory Wayans was very upset about this because there was really nothing in that scene that warranted anything more than an R. He also felt he was targeted by the MPAA for harsher scrutiny because they felt he got away with too much raunchy humor in the first one.

definitely my favorite of the Scary Movies. this one probably has the greatest opening. shame if you haven’t seen the movies from my favorite jokes, “Hannibal”, “What Lies Beneath”, and “Hollow Man”, especially “Hollow Man”. it’s a cool movie starring Kevin Bacon and directed by Paul Verhoeven, the guy that made “Robocop” and “Starship Troopers”. it’s got some great set pieces and I wish more people saw/remembered it. can’t wait for the kitchen scene.

At one point earlier in the movie he or someone does refer to one of them as his "strong hand," and you assume it's the one that isn't disfigured. Then at the window he says the non-disfigured one is "not strong enough." Plus it was about 2 decades ago. I do not know why I went this in depth here, but oh well.

I just read a comment further down that said that line is actually a Mandela effect. If you’re referring to the part where he’s hanging off the side of the house, the line is actually “take my little hand”. For yearssssss I’ve been saying “take my strong hand” as well! How weird!

Anything to do with *"my strong hand"* was always a memorable thing about this movie. I was 16 when this movie came out. Ever since then every time i see a back scratcher i think of that guy and if I'm aroujd friends il put the back scratcher up my shirt skeep and say "this is my strong hand".

In my opinion this was the peak of Scary Movie. It captured the mix of gross-out humor and clever writing that sadly went downhill with Wayans movies after around 3 or 4.

Scary movie 3 in my opinion is the best of the series, mostly because the writers of the 3rd scary movie was the same team that wrote "Airplane" and "The Naked Gun" series. In my opinion they are funnier than the Waynes brothers.

This is hand down my favorite of the scary movies. From the opening, to the back & forth bickering between Dwight and Handson, the little🎈🤡 animal moment. This one literally makes me laugh every 2to3 minutes every time I watch it. A few things J. First this was the last time we'll see the Wayans, after part 4 I stopped watching. I will say that 3&4 r and both extremely funny. Cindy and Brenda both carry the next two films. I couldn't help but notice some of your confusion at jokes that weren't Landing you still need to see a few movies to appreciate some of these jokes. And I'm not sure what made me laugh harder your reaction to "tucked in or out?" The 🎈🤡 or the look on your face when Dwight does it himself🍌 Can't wait for u 2do #3

CABIN BOY starring Chris Elliot ( chicken wing) is a surreal cult classic!! Also, the original Mr Show with David Cross and Bob Odenkirk is a great sketch comedy show that featured many comedians such as Sarah Silverman, Brian Posehn, Jack Black and others.

The first 40 mins of this movie are off the charts. The dinner scene is probably the hardest I’ve ever laughed during a scene. The only scene close was Team America where Kim Jong Il drowns the U.N weapons inspector Hans Brix in a Shark Tank.
