in regards to the first story, doctors/nurses will not report you to the police if you have drugs or alcohol in your system. (at least in the us) the only reason they need to know is so that they know what they can and how much of something they can give you.

I had a some kinda construction device (scaffolding)used for painting and repair work that could be used to enter or escape my room on the second floor for about a year. My dad proscatinated the work and I didn't recognize the possibilities of escaping for extracurricular activities, No one in my small town realized the possibilities of a direct entrance to my second story bedroom either. It did not occur to me to escape after curfew, nor did occur to anyone to enter my home from this obvious bipass of doors and locks. I guess predators weren't as active or streetwise as they are now. But yes scaffolding was next to my bedroom for over a year. This was the 70s so it is not really surprising that people didn't think about predators or truancy, just not the things in my area at that time. We didn't lock any doors back then either. The doors and windows were equipped with locks we just didn't need to use them. In my adult life I keep all my windows bolted, my doors locked and prefer double curtains vs shears and blinds??

Surely someone has had a near-death experience or horror camping story that involves poison thumbed animals. What do you think?

That bums me out royally, that that Kentuckian tried to rebuke whatever it was (“demon” was the only term he/she used to describe what it was - I think) in the name of Jesus , and it didn’t work - that first time when he was alone. But much later they got some disturbance out of their home . The first time though , THAT was disappointing and scary . Because, in 97% of the accounts I’ve listened to, rebuking in His name has been highly effective, for both DM and Sasq. .

Wow that cigarette thing reminds me of a story of mine. My bf had cheated on me and I had ran away from home. I was only 14 but my friend (17) got kicked out of her house by her parents and I didn’t want to leave her alone. Well on this night I was drunk and crying when my friend AnDreas bfs best friend showed up. He said hey I got all this money and flashed some cash come with me fuck that guy. So I did bc he had previously told me he knew I was a kid and would never hurt me. We drove across state lines and he kept telling me to put my shoes back on bc it was against the law since I was a minor. Which I thought was weird. We went to Walmart where he bought lingerie, a stuffed purple bunny, a chest, tape, a back massager, Polaroid film, and some other random stuff. I can’t believe the cashier didn’t call the police. He then took me to his house and told me to shower. He put a robe and the lingerie in the bathroom and said he’d wash my clothes. He kept coming in the bathroom while I showered trying to give me a cigarette insisting I smoke it. I would wait for him to leave and throw it in the toilet. He did this a few times. Well what happened next was crazy. He shot me up and it’s drugs and had this way with me it was all a blur I only could remember small parts. He took pictures and stuff. Then I got sick and he left for hours. When he came back he was like hey are you alive. I said yeah why? I think he thought I’d die or something. He kept me there for like a month. Then his house got raided by the police bc my friend told the neighbors. I don’t know what ever happened to him but the police found tons of nude pictures of minor girls cash and drugs in his house. A week later he showed up at my door and my mom let him talk to me. She even left for a little while. I was so afraid but thankfully my mom came back and told him to leave.
