The story about Henry reminds me of what went on in my own house growing up. It really isnt surprising that Henry was able to pretend to be a good kid. Henry is a monster and I hope one day his sisters can get out of there. I hope they cut contact with that bastard AND their parents. The parents are just as guilty as Henry. Disgusting.

Henry is definitely going to be a serial killer or some type of violent offender when he gets older. You have to deal with these things when they’re young or they’ll get worse! I know from experience. His parents seem to be oblivious or just plain stupid!

Of course she was helpless. If she had done something she would probably ended up in jail. The kid was and is a psychopath, would not surprised me any if he has killed a few women. The parents were enablers who saw that kid as a perfect boy, even when he was hurting his own mother. He needed psychiatic intervention, impossible since the mother thought that was normal and the father didn't give a dang. I'm a retired child psychologist (and retired attorney). People like him end up as serial killers, made worse because they can be very charming.

The babysitter honestly should have contacted protective services much sooner / more doggedly to see if they could intervene in some way. Henry was clearly a disturbed child who needed serious help, and as long as he wasn't getting it his siblings were in serious danger. The sitter also could have filmed his behavior as proof.

Pretty sad how they do nothing... You could probably hit the kid with a hammer right in front of them and they would still think nothing is going on, if they even show up that is. I've always wanted to be one since I have a big soft spot for kids in need, especially ones in toxic homes. It's hard to come by somebody in cps that actually cares about the kids, not just the money...

That child Henry would be terrified to act that way around me. My niece and nephew were like this, until I took them to Disneyland with friends and kid, I knew security at the time and after they're first outburst they got left with the massive security guard(a cousin from my side of the family) for 2 hours right after lunch. They were ignored by actors in costume, missed rides they had talked about the whole way there and learned they weren't the center of the universe. All of this was discussed beforehand with they're parents.

Enabling your kid to do that and not getting help for them IS abuse. Abuse to all of the kids. You're letting him risk theirs and whoever comes into your life. Abuse isn't just hitting, there's also just not doing anything about your childs mental health, especially if they act like that, which he is most definitely a sociopath or something around that. I hope the other kids are safe I couldn't give a crap what happened to Henry because honestly I would have either whooped him or called the police if the parents aren't going to do shit.

I think the point was that if he *had* been a bad guy, it could have been a very bad situation and she's lucky he wasn't. I have stories like that too. My mother once left me to babysit my sister for a couple of days when I was thirteen. There was a fifteen year old boy there with me. A boy who was regularly having sex. At any time he could have pressed the advantage. Thankfully he didn't because he was a decent boy, but if he hadn't been, well, there's a lot of ways that could have gone, and it is a bit disturbing to think about.

My last job was at a group home for displaced children. Henry's story is one I see all the time. It's way more common than you think. Some of these kids generally learn their do's and don't's, but I fear they're never truly changed. It's sad

The first story is so frustrating! Even if the parents don't cooperate the babysitter is still a responsible adult! she should document the behavior as much as possible and contact the authorities. She witnesses in her own eyes abnormal behavior of a minor, abuse of a minor, and the utter neglect of the mental and physical health of minors by their parents

Henry is a sociopath - as a mom it infuriates me. As a babysitter it's not your job to discipline but when kids have horrid behaviour like that you have to be brutal honest with the parents and using a sharp tone will not hurt 🤷🏻‍♀️. Kids like that cannot get away with that behaviour you cannot let them walk all over you.

The Ricky story... Seriously wtf. The guy showed no intention of harming her & was actually quite thoughtful & sweet. Later, he commits a crime entirely unrelated to sexual assault, and the author is saying 'i could have been a victim!!!1' The first story was great, the Ricky story was garbage, I'm sorry.

I could have been a victim, too!!! (despite there being no red flags or indications he was a sexual predator whatsoever)." It feels like the author is trying their hardest to have a scary encounter story, and is inserting that irrelevant backstory to make it seem like she was more involved or in danger.. when she wasn't. 🤔

That's why I cant baby sit especially a kid like that because no little shit is going to try and play me like that! My dad literally would've killed me of I were to act 1/4 of how that boy does.. If I would've had that little boy, I would've tortured him just as bad as he does to the family and I think I would've waterboarded him a few times so he could learn how it feels to be attacked. Thank God I dont babysit!
