So I'm at 3:15 and I can't possibly be the only one who has no idea what a "sky monkey" is. Google is no help at all either. Is it some regional nickname for a bird?

I love hearing all of these stories you tell on your channel. I listen to alot of channels similar to yours, but you are my favorite. I know a lot of similar channels and you separate your stories by, lets not meet again, ghost hauntings, woods, creatures, etc.. but i dont see alot of clown ones. I mainly find this odd bc in 2016 there was that creepy clown thing that was on the news. People where dressing up as clowns holding weapons or balloons and standing on street corners, parks, and parking lots. I just thought id be interesting to hear some peoples stories on that told by my favorite channel. :)

I've lived in both oregon and Washington. Can confirm the difference in vibe. Washington woods want you OUT. Oregon woods want you to build a cottage.

Hmm...I thought the woods in Washington and in Oregon both felt heavy, ominous, and almost oppressive at night. But I've lived my whole life in the desert or arrid steppe, and although some areas have proper trees, mostly the vegetation is short shrubs and tall grasses, and even where there are trees they are tiny and sparse compared to what you find even in just an empty lot in the suburbs in towns in WA and OR. Beautiful for sure, but claustrophobic and not the habit of humans, and never will be. We can operate in that environment only as guests, and at the fringes of those thick woods. We're savannah creatures; our pointy sticks and fire aren't any use when our eyes only serve us for 10 or 20 feet of space, and our ears aren't good enough to keep us safe without help from our eyes. Some people have told me that when they're in the desert it feels like the whole landscape is against, like some primal sense is constantly being triggered warning them that they need to leave, find some place not so dry, hot, and devoid of grren things. But I counter that that is the feeling I have whenever I'm in those thick Pacific NW forests, or swamps and bayous of the Deep South; even that big, flat swatch of land from Minnesota down through Illinois and Missouri, and east to Ohio and Indiana, which is basically all Mississippi River tributary land : those places with their walls of green feel much more foreign to me than the desert. They're nice places to visit, but I'll never live anywhere but the Great Western Desert.
