Scenic Stops: Feather Tree Maker, Dennis Bauer S2 

Dennis Bauer was featured in season two of Scenic Stops, an original program on WBGU-TV in Bowling Green, Ohio. Dennis lives in Bellevue, Ohio where he makes artificial Christmas trees out of fowl feathers. The first artificial trees were made using this practice in the 1800s, and Dennis' interest grew from collecting ornaments to making the trees when he learned that his family used to celebrate the holiday with such a tree. Dennis now makes trees not just for the Christmas holiday, but for holidays throughout the year, selling about 200 years a year as one of the three feather tree makers in the United States.
