Dude you're a bilingual machinist and machine tool restorer. and RU-vid content creator. You should be nothing but proud of yourself. We have all learned some things from these videos. You rock dude.
You, young sir, are an extremely talented and skilled engineer. To completely strip and re-furbish a milling machine, is a huge undertaking by anyone's standards. Great job, extremely well done, great effort young man.
Seriously Amazing! You not only rebuild a highly complex machine, you also are machining highly accurate parts for it while also editing and creating a beautiful video that captures and entertains you on a topic you wouldn't think possible. What can't you do??? Thank you and keep it up!!!
You should be extremely proud of yourself. Not many people can do what you have done tearing it down all the way and then putting it back together successfully. Great job.
is this serious? i always take all second hands machines appart.. lathe, milling machine, chainsaws get new bearings and pistons. but on the other hand.. not many people do this ye -.o
@@NeuerAccount no I have a family full of creative people. And many of my friends have lathes and milling machines.. therefore I find this normal.. on the other hand I do think many people can do this. But the fact that they have not done this. Makes them believe they can't. But that's mostly not the case
Awesome job. I dont think anyone would be ashamed of having that mill in there shop. Glad to see you took the time to change the bearing.... don't forget to run them in now slow speed for 45 minutes then medium speed 45 min the 1000 rpm 45 min checking at each set. That gets the grease worked into the bearing races
@ www.skf.com/group/products/bearings-units-housings/super-precision-bearings/principles/lubrication/grease-lubrication/running-in-of-grease-lubricated-bearings/index.html These are a thumb rules for running in bearings. Important step with high precision rotary machines. High five to joseph lovell for pointing it out. I was so mesmerized by the video that I didnt even cross my mind to run in the bearings. Excellent job my man, I have subbed.
You're doing a fantastic job. I love watching you go through these restorations. It's a beautiful thing to see old equipment that others would have simply thrown away be restored and put to good use. I've done that with all of my grandfathers old tools.
You did some incredible amount of work that would took me years. Gentlemen, let’s help this talented guy to get to the top, he definitely deserves it 200%.
excellent job, love the preciousness of your work, you overhault it like a dream, you have to be proud of yourself, this is a job well done , love the colors and the fact you didn't went wild with plaster left the beautiful patina alive. That machine is ready for another 100 years of good service, there are not many who can do what you just did.
I don't know if i rather watch you build something from scratch or bring a old machine back to life. Love this old Schaublin. Great work saving her from the scrap yard. I look forward to seeing what you'll make with it.
This is the best major machine rebuild I have ever seen, both in terms of its scope, accomplishment and documentation. You are inspired and inspiring! Bravo!
I’m really, really, really impressed with your work. Looks good, mechanically sound, and works to perfection. You’ve earned your Ph. D. in restoration!
So young and with so much knowledge and skill. This world needs more people like you, this world where everything is disposable and no one cares to fix what's damaged, just put it in the trash. You are an example for the spoiled kids we have today. You should be very proud of yourself ... Best wishes to you. Peace
I just finished watching and I am so pleased To see how it turned out. I'll bet everyone who watches this video, and the previous one, wish they had one of these machines. Now to find a spot in the shop that will welcome its Long living footprint. Well done Cà Lem. Very well done sir. Again... thank you, for the incredibly inspiring video. Love your work, cant get enough. 👏👏👏❤👏👏👏❤👍
Amazing job, amazing machine, and great humor + video editing. You have some serious talent brother. I'm not a machinist and I want a mill and lathe so badly. Love these older machines.
I don't know anything about milling machines, but I sure like watching these videos. I'll watch an expert do anything anytime. It sure beats what's on regular TV. Thank you for this video.
That was on heck of a huge project! She turned out beautifully! Very well done and what a great color combination. She is unique and uniquely your’s! Thanks for sharing this fantastic work.
Big Yuks man, as in throwing in the laughs and gags. I don’t think that my memory would have found my screwdriver let alone reassembled a thousand parts in the correct order like you demonstrate. Respect.
Amazing Work on a nice machine. You took everyting apart, cleaned the parts, replaced/repaired everyting brocken...that is so much work and even complex. Good Job :)
You are doing great! I very much appreciate you sharing your learning process and your talents. It has been a pleasure to watch you and this channel grow. Onto 100k!
The obtained tolerances are shocking with the quality. Now (after renovation) it is a really decent machine that can stand next to the new, "plastic" machines without any shame. I admire the enormous amount of work, in return you have equally enormous satisfaction. The machine will probably serve the next decades if you take care of it. Great job and great knowledge. Bravo!
Probably the best machine tool restoration I have ever seen. So thorough - every single part of this beautiful and complex milling machine given the very highest level of TLC. And I love the green and black - it has attitude! Respect.
You'll be at 100K and beyond soon. Don't worry. The only people who think this is boring wouldn't watch anyway. HAHA! The Swiss made a really nice machine with this one.
I was a DoAll industrial machine technician for 15 years in the early 80s. And my man you have done a good job. Is a job you can get away from everyone. Is a good thing you tube was not around back then as the customer would thank you could really work that fast.
You have some of the best machine rebuilding videos on the net. I spread the word about your channel every chance I get. The complexity of a Schaublin is incredible, I don't think I would be brave enough to try this. Thank goodness you had pictures of the disassembly...LOL.(BTW you speak better than some of the people I work with in southern USA)
I now understand why they are so expensive, these things are like swiss watches! Well done, I would not have had the patience or the memory for where everything came from!
I am totally amazed! I have watched this rebuild twice and I am even more impressed the second time. What a gifted and talented person you are! You inspire me. I can't wait for the next video. Thank you for your contribution to our machining family.
OMFG!! This is unbelievable, the level of dedication to restore something that others would've written off as an impossible task. You are amazing, I salute you and look forward to seeing more of your excellent work!
Excellent content! The restoration was very nicely done. I’m also quite impressed with the videography. You’re a man with many talents and I’m inspired by your qualities. Thank you for posting!
There are some really nasty people out there it’s ur machine it’s ur video it’s what ever you want it to be there just jealous and can’t stand there own existence keep up the good work
CA Lem......Do you know how jealous all of us are watching just how skilled you are. DO NOT worry about mistakes or not having all the equipment you might need. The work you are doing inspirational to everyone watching. You are AWESOME brother, keep up the great work that you do. You are the.....GREAT ONE ! ! ! ! ! !
There are about two million parts (more or less), and some of these parts are so precise, that even a scratch would ruin them. And this man able to put them in the right place at the right time... And this machine is working! Highest respect! I an barely fix a bike...
Awesome work! I'm working my way through a restoration of a Monarch Series 60, 16 x 54 lathe and a Gorton 9J mill. It's a long road to do this kind of work and it's truly inspiring to see others setting a high standard.
So very very impressive. Great work form you and a little credit back to the people who built it so well to start. Thank you for making and sharing this video. I bet you have many years of work from the mill and even more special from the work you put in.
Excellent job. It's a beautiful machine and you did a great job rejuvenating it. The video format is very watchable too. Thanks for putting out this excellent content. Mart in England.
Congratulations Ca Lem, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the work you have put into this restoration. And the filming & editing I'm sure is just as much work. I wish you were my neighbor, we would become great friends.

How about noises, smells, smoke all day? my neighbors are planning to kill me though :D
Very, very impressive. A big, dirty, difficult and demanding job well done . That high end machine deserves your attentions. You must be very proud and satisfied of your work. I salute your multi faceted skills and determination. Thank you for sharing.
@Cà Lem , your skills are totally amazing. I have been a subscriber for more than one year, and have watched several of your machine tool restorations. I have been awestruck to see you demonstrate your instincts and abilities as you rehabilitate your equipments. I think my favorite video of all is the one where you made your anvil vise. The concept alone is brilliant, but your execution of it was fabulous. I wish that your skills will earn you a handsome living and a comfortable life. Most of all, I hope that you will train many more young people in these disciplines so that they may also enjoy good lives, and help many others, with their abilities to repair , rehabilitate, and manufacture tools and parts. Thank you for producing and sharing your content! I enjoy it, a great deal.
I think that green is fine for a relatively new mill like that. I love it, I think it looks great. I've never been a fan of the 'shop grey' most machines are in the USA, I think it's awful.
Where I work, one wall of my room is entirely glass. Once every few days, a yellow Snapple Juice truck stops right outside, and the side of the truck reflects the sun into my room, completely filling the room with yellow light. I feel my anxiety going away the instant this happens. It's the weirdest thing, but I really can feel it. I'm not sure about green though.
@@someotherdude Yellow is not green. Green is the most positive color for your eyes. It is no harmful, no stressful and you are able looking on green color very long time during the day without fatique. Green color also does not cause flashes, twinkles, glitches even when you are using important colors for visibility controls. It can't be very light and can't be dark and must matte or medium matte, must not be shiny (you are seriously risking get flash or eye-glitch). On green you are able very well highlight safety warnings with yellow, black and red color. A machine is prettier with contrast colors, but machines are not for perfect look at the photos, but for safe work.
I don't know how you are able to do that! If I get two bolts into a project and the bolts are different sizes the project goes to the "to be completed later" corner of the shop. Not to mention how tight the tolerances were when you completed the machine. Awesome work yet again!
Sometimes Jesse's builds didn't work as intended. So far, everything we've seen Ca Lem do has worked like a champ after sitting in rotten places for years. I'd say Jesse should look out!
@@fredericrike5974 I wasn't referring to the Monster Garage tv series, Jessie is a world-class custom bike, hotrod and firearms builder just to name a few of his master talents, in the US just to be mentioned in the same category of craftsman would be a huge compliment.
@@leslienixon9274 FWIW, you brought JJ's name into the discussion. That said, the Monster Garage series was a "collaborative" show- Jesse would invite some people he either knew or knew about to come and build the "thing de jure"- many times they worked, sometimes not. Jesse may be great a lot of things, but the hearse build rather demonstrated that totally custom hydraulics might not have been one of his "true talents"- a set of hydraulic bags and pumps for suspension, all sized to work together from the outlet is very different than when you tackle something without doing all the "math" about total required flow, pressures, line friction etc. I'm not claiming to be either- but I have built assembly machine prototypes that use hydraulics to achieve specific tasks; my first couple of attempts weren't impressive. FR
@@fredericrike5974 This may be the very reason many people refrain from comments, a compliment from me shoud'nt invoke an explanatory apology from you.

I love youtube some days! Got this video in my recommended and this is truly quality content! You did an amazing job restoring this machine! You have true talent!
I think this is the finest restoration video I've seen on youtube...I've watched thousands. This is restoration taken to a completely different level. Congratulations
