Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!

the best market strategy is to work with a credible investing coach. Since a while ago, I've been in touch with a coach, mostly because I lack the depth of understanding and mental toughness to deal with the ongoing market conditions. You lack the information necessary to succeed in a competitive market, not because you're doing anything wrong, but rather because of your lack of experience.

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

Because of dividends, I first began investing in stocks. It's important, in my opinion, to be able to live off of dividends without selling if you invest and make other income in addition to payouts. It suggests that you may pass that down to your kids and give them a leg up in life. Over the years, I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks; I continue to buy more today and will keep doing so until the price drops even further.

I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I appreciate giving an investment coach the power of decision-making. Given their specialized expertise and education, as well as the fact that each and every one of their skills is centered on harnessing risk for its asymmetrical potential and controlling it as a buffer against certain unfavorable developments, it is practically impossible for them to underperform. I have made over 1.5 million dollars working with an investment coach for more than two years

I'm interested in building a dividend income stream, but as a non-US citizen, I'm aware of the 30% withholding tax on dividends. I've been looking at SCHD, which offers both dividend payouts and potential for capital appreciation in the long run. i feel capital growth could potentially offset the withholding tax impact. Any advice or insights?

Give me QQQ all day! Using the 4% rule off of 15 million QQQ will give you 600k a year to live off compared to SCHD's 200k a year.

Does anyone check the math on these scenarios? It's not correct. After 10 years in QQQ, it is not $234,565. It doesn't make sense. QQQ is less than SCHD after 10 years but more after 20 years? C'mon man!!!
@rssharma9
@rssharma9 5 месяцев назад
He makes a lot of mistakes but his videos are fun to watch. You are absolutely right, QQQ returned 18.93% annualized over the past 10 years but SCHD returned 11.27%. This is from Morningstar.
@mugg1841
@mugg1841 5 месяцев назад
It also says SCHD gets a annual dividend of $258k with a 4mil worth but QQQ gets only $6k with a 15mil worth
@rssharma9
@rssharma9 5 месяцев назад
How much dividend one gets after so many years cannot be estimated well. My thinking is that SCHD will grow it's dividend at 5 to 7% per year while QQQ will probably grow a bit faster as all the tech companies mature and start paying dividends (like CRM and META did this year.)

In my opinion it is a very good investment. If you have a long timeline and want aggressive growth I would look at VGT + SCHD. For more moderate growth VOO + SCHD or JEPQ + SCHD. Over the long run it's pretty hard to go wrong with low cost index funds invested in solid companies. The investment strategy for VOO and SCHD are very solid in my opinion.
