1. The budget was very tight in season 1 so Chris Elliot does indeed have a pillow under his shirt. 2. Moira's accent gets crazier as the episodes go on. 3. Twyla the waitress is Eugene's daughter/Dan's sister, Sarah.
Eugene and Catherine have been working together since 1976 when they preformed on the stage in Second City Toronto. They took their troup and made the hit T.V show SCTV whith fellow actors John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Rick Moranis, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas, Robin Duke and later, Martin Short.
I just assumed with the deed and the town it was about the town being in this more rural area and everything being really cheap compared to where they used to live. Not that the town would be free to live in, but that it would be hella cheap while they figured out their financial situation.
2 comedies where Eugene Levy is not a dad or husband, Bringing Down the House with Queen Latifah and Steve Martin and Down to Earth. Those are where I knew him from
I agree with The Office. I love it, but the later seasons really fizzled. It makes me appreciate shows like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Fleabag, and others where there was a set number of seasons so the story has an arc throughout, rather than just a long slow decline.
