Schneider Tanker truck driving jobs 

Kuhnle is asking 1 year of tanker experience. I think Schenider would be a good place to get that tanker experience. Pay might be low but it's the crawl phase rite out of cdl school.

You have to start somewhere, though, right? Most places that pay well like that require experience or are hard to get into from what I've found.

If you’re at Schneider get your experience and get out as soon as possible - find local work that pays by the hour - or at the very least a company that pays for breakdown time, fueling time, everything you do deserves pay, never forget that drivers, and never settle for less. Schneider is just another company taking advantage of inexperienced drivers by not paying them what they deserve.

Do they still require you to double clutch the trucks there ?

How was/is it…considering coming out of retirement to drive again…tell us what you think of the training and job.

lol look at us in the comments😂❤. We all came together for training. I think the training was good. I wish I had more driving time with my training engineer. I did get good backing experience. I got good practice with coupling and uncoupling. Only thing I didn’t get to experience was live unloading. Luckily, I’m on a dedicated ecolab account so I’ll get additional training. Just be aware that they do double up trainees. They claimed that they try to avoid it, but I can’t tell. The instructors are very patient. Depending on if you’re experienced or not, you’ll be put in either a single or double occupancy hotel, respectively. You’re on your own for dinner. But Breakfast is free. Lunch is free. Laundry is free at the operating centers. It’s not the best quality, but please take advantage of that because the orientation pay is low. Lastly, you’re in orientation for 3 weeks if you’re experienced or 5 weeks if you’re inexperienced. And you work basically everyday due to recaps.

They are probably automated transmissions now, and liquids are at gross weight most of the time close to or at 80 thousand pounds truck trailer and product weight.

Hi Gregorio, our Tanker drivers spend about four weeks in orientation to ensure they know how to safely walk on top of the tanker trucks once they get out on the road.

That's because they can't match the pay of any of the dozen tanker companies there.
