Chicken nuggets Wednesdays were always dope 🤙🏼 I liked to break up the chicken, take some put it in the roll with the gravy mashed potatoes 🤌🏼 that shit hit
I only had the rectangle pizza and cheeseburgers. Never seen the others before. But the best item was those triangle/3d pizza rolls (they were shaped like a puffy 3d Doritos). They were so good.
Shiiit I enjoyed the hell out of those Salisbury Steaks…that could have quite possibly been Kangaroo meat 🤔. Trick was to not let it get cold or the jelly effect would take place 😂
I distinctly remember the sausage links from elementary school breakfasts and my god did those things slap. I was always running around trading my nasty as French toast sticks for everyone's sausage links and it was a great time. 😅
Best was crispy chicken on a bun(even had a spicy chicken).. Pizza 2nd, 3rd cheeseburger.. Virginia school lunches back from 2000-2004 high school days
They called those tostadas “chalupas” at the school that I went to back in the day. Those were actually good. The best lunch at my old school was definitely their chicken nuggets and tater tots. They’d even gave us ranch. The absolute worst lunch was definitely their grilled cheese though. They give them out in sealed plastic packaging, so they were bought pre-made and microwaved. Since they were microwaved, all of the steam got trapped in the packaging, so it was soggy as hell and had absolutely terrible quality bread and cheese on top of that. The bread was rubbery as hell and the cheese was impressively bad somehow too.
@@Shockguey It was just a flat hard taco shell with cheese and little meatball pieces. They weren’t filling at all, but they were pretty good at the time haha
Breakfast at elementary school back in the day wasn't have bad if I didn't have time to get at home or hit the drive thru at McDonald's or bruger king chicken fried steak and nachos would be the only time I wouldn't take my lunch to be honest same with the macaroni ❤❤
When I was in school, the *only* good thing was "Chicken burger with fries and gravy" If you're familiar with Community. And the chicken tenders episode, it was like that.
For every school i went to, not one of them had the Salisbury steak, it was typically Teriyaki bites and i hated those quite a bit, my favorite as a kid was the shredded chicken with gravy over mashed potatoes, was a instant hit for me.
During a food fight in high school a friend received a cut on the forehead by a slice of pizza. It was the nasty and hard cheese that always lifted from the crust with air pockets.
Damn my school didnt have foil wraped burgers or hexagon pizza. Burgers where taken out of a pan soaking in some weird water then slapped on a stale bun 😂
The Mexican pizza was amazing and we also had pizza burgers that were amazing! Those were usually part of the ala carte basket meals that you could get as an alternative to the regular menu.
Them long rectangle slices of pizza, peanut butter and jelly graham cracker sandwiches and lunch room cookies with the chocolate milk was the ONLY reason I went to the cafeteria in school. If these items weren't being served I wasn't eating. 😉
We didn’t have bad pizza it was Great that when I got pregnant as an adult I wanted it and went to the school cafeteria and it had changed!!! BlahBlahBlah!! But that cheese toast and that brownie
My dad was born in 1959 and he loved school lunch especially the Salisbury steak. The food nowadays is absolutely disgusting I hated school lunch sense I was in middle school when Micheal ruined it.
My school had french toast sticks that used to be good and home made spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti and meatballs was so good that they held pick up dinner nights on occasions with packed lines. Their pizza also used the same homemade sauce. Delicious! 😇
The only good square pizza that was good was the ones they have in the bag.The school would serve them at breakfast but damn, MILES BETTER than the ones they serve at lunch cause it was moist and soft plus it has flavor. Best pizza ever.
In washington we had teriyaki dippers 10/10 Bussin!!! Or those breakfast combo bars in the morning daaamn I miss school lunch back where i'm from it always hit!!!
Square pizza was the worst. Cheese was lukewarm and the crust was somwhow soggy and had sauce alopecia. Not to mention that squirrel ankle meat they put on it. Round pizza all day
Ommmg , I forgot about the round Pizza. The round pizza was the ONLY GOOD PIZZA. And everything he listed was literal garbage..including that nasty cheese burger. Makes you wonder if he likes the trash School food so much. Why is he so harsh when it comes to restaurants and fast food joints?? This man will praise school pizza. But take a fat dump on a literal Pizza chain, made in house pizza. He could have at least listed spicy chicken sandwiches, and chicken nugget day. What about shrimp poppers and seasoned fries??? No, basic nasty school pizza and burger made from camel Ass and Buffalo knuckles. 😂
..what for real lol nah 1:02 the number one best was the 0:47 salsbury steak! The Libby Land tv dinner couldn't compete neither could the Hungry Man tv dinner man the school cafeteria Salisbury steak was the reason for some students even getting up in the morning, it was so good lol well at least on Wednesday or whatever day it was served. 😂
Honorable mention for worst were those damn grits!!! I watched the lunch lady run low on grits and instead of adding more grits to the pan she added more water!!! Just a big ass jug of sink water to the pan of low grits 🤢🤮never ate school grits again!
I guess I was lucky, the schools I went to never served any of his "worst" lunches except the vegetable medley, but my school also never served us tostadas.
I went to school in the 80s and early 90s so we didnt have this level of culinary delight 😂 our hits were the pizza ,grilled cheese sandwiches that were wrapped in the plastic packaging that as soon as u open it the steam would hit u and the cheese was melted perfectly in between the bread . And lastly the fish fillet with cheese i didnt question how the hell the cheese was inside the fish i just knew when i took that first bite the cheese was oozing out of it and it was good 😂😂.
If there was turkey and gravy with mas potatoes, I would be scrambling to eat it. Also, WHAT in ylthw world is he coming for one of the best food items because the meatball subs were good as going down under to the fair pits.
Question... has anyone here ever had Hormel bars? They're breaded and they're shaped like a McDonald's hashbrown. But they have ham, cheese, and egg inside of them. They're so. Fucking. Good. Haven't had them since high school, though 😭
I would take the luch meat sandwich over that horrible ass meatball sub that is was disgusting! But honorable mention the pancake sausage corn dog at breakfast with the syrup dip perfect
CAP!!!!!!FLAG ON THE LIST! How could you leave out BREAKFAST FOR LUNCH WITH THE LITTLE SMOKIES or Tater tots smashed in a cup!!!! Undefeated School lunch classic!
My favorite was the egg salad sandwich. I was friends with the ladies and even helped them sometimes to do some prep work. They also had really good fries at my high school.
My school had something called the Redmen Burger Cheese and bacon it was 😩👌 Then we had other things too. Pulled pork, bosco sticks, General TSO chicken Hell, we even had a breakfast lunch
We never had foil wrapped burgers or toastadas back in my day. We had lukewarm patties from the warming tray, a cold slice of "cheese" that would never melt and a bun that we got to assemble back at the table. What we did have which was a school lunch classic was the grilled cheese with the crust on the bread so hard that you could break a tooth on it but once you got beyond that crust it was fake cheese perfection. I still don't know how they got the crust like that without burning the whole thing. We also had "bacon burgers" which were some fake bacon flavored meat like burger patty. They were so bad that some 30 years later I still have PTSD and will NOT eat bacon on a hamburger.
The best I had in my high school was the wrapped Spicy Chicken Sandwich we can get every week, and pay out a dollar for a baked potato along with it. Get that sandwich, put some ketchup on that sandwich, oh it was heaven.
