Best movie in the last 20 years!!! Jack Black is THE PERFECT substitute teacher, and kids are unbelievable. Looks like they had so much fun. I’ve seen it numerous times, and will again many times more.

me. i never saw it in theaters but my grandpa got it 4 my birthday three years later & i watched it. its awesome. i was shocked when i heard kevin clark died :( it sucks that hes not gonna be at the 20th anniversary but hes definitely gonna look down on jack & his costars. he & god r prolly playing a rock show right now & my grandpas prolly in the crowd even tho he didnt like rock music. he died three years ago from covid :’( i still miss him & always will. r.i.p. grandpa & kevin aka freddy :( rock out with god in heaven & rock the drums with Him :(
@@jbkbeatz7015 That's not true, lol. Where did you hear that the kid taught him guitar? Tenacious D's first album came out a year before they even began filming. Jack's a passable guitar player but not good enough to do the solo's in the movie. All the open/barre chords/rhythm stuff in the film is him, but they had a session musician do the solo's and dubbed them over. It's explained in the BTS of the movie.
Unfortunate that the backup girls didn't quite harmonize as well as how it sounded in the movie, Tamyka's voice really overpowered the other two because it wasn't quite as high and was louder in general so it effectively drowned out Alicia and Marta 🤷🏼♂️
