@@heyitsmejackieee I was a ship kid and had work on the ship that my school gave me. We would have tutors that were college students or our parents would help us. We had I think 2 hours in the lido restaurant reserved for us to do work right before lunch was served. We are also allowed to sit in on college classes. It was so much fun. I'm going back on in spring 21.

there are no curfews! free to do what you want as long as you go to class! of course you don't have to go to class but you see your professors every day so it'd be super awkward not to go

An added tip for the total cost from someone going on the Spring 2020 Voyage: If you are struggling with the overall cost, there are saver cabin options!! You can either be in a double or triple, you're on the 3rd deck, and the only real difference is it's a more bare cabin (no mosaic mermaid in the shower lol) and you'll hear the engine sounds a little bit more. I got put into a saver triple cabin after talking with financial aid, and it dropped my overall price to $23,000. It's very nice if you come from a lower-income household!

my other questions: hook up culture? wi-fi? how much time do you spend doing school work outside of class? what year of college do most students do SAS? also idk if you’re 21 but you mentioned drinking, so you have to be 18 or 21 to drink on the ship? (i know you can for sure drink in countries w younger drinking ages, just curious about the ship) thank you so so much for making this vid! super super helpful!!!❤️❤️❤️

On the seasickness note-once you get off the ship you’re going to have major sea legs. Your body is so used to compensating for the motion of the boat once you’re on land you’re just going to be stumbling 😂 (speaking from experience lol) I’m so upset that I didn’t hear about this earlier. I’m already a senior (😅😅😅) so I don’t have room in my schedule to study abroad.

alaina sis you make it sound so easy lol, even if I work my ass off everyday I highly doubt I could get in. But for real though, my mom worked her ass of and look where’s she at. @@41052 as far as getting in the program, it isn’t difficult. As long as you’re in good academics standing with your university, they will except you. I understand not being able to afford it, but majority of students on the ship or not paying the full cost. They are paying for it through scholarships from their home university, financial aid from FASFA, scholarships through semester at sea, their student job on the ship, and student loans. Yes it’s not cheap, but the majority of everyone on the ship is not just born with overwhelming wealth to be able to afford this out of pocket.... most are budgeting and paying it through scholarships and loans.
