This is my favourite spongebob episode. Its so over-the-top and so dark. I cant believe they got away with this one. But i love it for this reason

I’m surprised the health inspector didn’t come in disguise or something. The reason why they do this is so they don’t get special treatment and just see how the food actually is. They also don’t want the people to panic and stuff

Mr Crabs seems to keep having an issue jumping to conclusions. First he blames Squidward for the misplacement of his dime; Now calling the health inspector a fraud after a news report.

There’s a theory about how the cartoon physics work in SpongeBob that the water within water is actually freshwater. In blue lagoon episodes the theory does make sense how characters drown because sea creatures can’t survive in freshwater

This episode proves that SpongeBob is not exclusively for children it's like between childs and for adults made.

Health inspectors don't normally ask for food, they just check the kitchen, the food storage, and the place's overall sanitary conditions.

There is another episode where Mr. Krabs has to deal with the consequenses of a nasty patty. Don't worry that patty doesn't look as disgusting as this one. The episode is called Born Again Krabs.

There is an episode where the Krusty Krab was shut down called Banned in Bikini Bottom.

As someone who's worked in food service: Health inspectors don't usually eat at the restaurant during their inspections. (They could if they really wanted to, but restaurants aren't obligated to give inspectors free food, like this episode implies.) Realistically he'd inspect the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. (Both front and back of house.) Making sure the food in the walk in fridge is being dated and isn't expired, rotated first in first out and every food item is being stored properly to prevent cross contamination. One violation isn't going to shut down a restaurant. But they will point out any violations they find to management and publicly post them in the newspaper or online. (Both critical and non-critical violations are reported.) They usually give you until the next inspection to correct the violations they find. I believe they also do this for School Cafeterias, if I'm not mistaken.

Whoever got tricked by that fake health inspector deserved to be scammed, i mean you could tell that person wasn't a real health inspector from a mile away

I believe that Mr. Krabs and Spongebob were lucky the health inspector didn't eat the nasty patty and also gave them a good grade, otherwise mr krabbs and spongebob could have been arrested for poisoning or if he was not satisfied he could have made it where the krusty krab got shut down if the duo were not arrested.

Knowing this is a cartoon everything goes good but in real life the Krusty Krab would get shutdown, SpongeBob and Mr Krabs arrested.

Two guys think they have killed a person and try to dispose of the corpse. That would not be a scenario for a children's series these days. XD

Remember that I said the violation Bikini Bottom police wouldn't tolerate is littering? Well, it seems that everything that endangers marine life is a serious crime. You could say this is Stephen's way of communicating the preservation of the marine environment.

There are a few times in this episode where I feel like Mr. Krabs has actually gotten away with killing someone before just from the way he instructs SpongeBob to help his dispose of the body lol. Not unlike the kind of things Mrs. Puff sometimes says regarding implications of her past (like from the Alex Bale video you watched one time).

A couple of recommendations. 1st is SpongeBob's Big Birthday blowout. That was a really special episode they made a few years back. 2nd is King of the Hill. I don't know how much you know about the show, but one of the main characters is a substitute teacher (who's really bad at her subject) plenty of school-themed episodes.

The writers were on something while making this episode 😭😭 it's so weirdly dark compared to the other ones lol! I do like it though, it's definitely a funny one

Another great episode worth checking out is Shanghaied. It’s one of my all time favorites with how ridiculous it gets

I work at a McDonald’s, and I can tell you that we’ve never had to post our scores on a health review in Michigan. I believe our passing score is 80, minimum.

The French narrator is not only voiced by Tom Kenny and I think he will put on a old fashion diving suit in at least feral friends oh, and he’s a parody of Jacques Cousteau his son Jean Michel was even on a documentary with Steven Hugenberg for the first SpongeBob movie DVD

In Ireland they publish the names of restaurants, shops in fact anywhere that serves food that get warnings or closed down and reason why by the health inspector

Just to further the idea of Mr. Krabs and how extreme he is for his own gain of money check out the episode “The Cent of Money” even Gary was worked to death just for a couple of pennies .Also, check out “The Camping Episode” has to be my all time favorite with the main characters.

Yah I work at Hardee’s and whenever we get an inspection they mainly check to see if you are washing your hands properly, and changing out your gloves, checking the temperature of the meat, chicken, the holding cabinets for the meat, bar towels making sure they’re clean and in good sanitizer water and checking the temperatures of the coolers and seeing if all of the food has dates on them they never ask to try any of the food nor do they care how you make the food as long as it’s sanitary and the food is at the correct temperature

That krabby patty is definitely, as the episode title says, the nastiest thing ever made. 🥴 Plus, to my knowledge, health inspectors don’t really order and eat a menu item just to make sure the food is 100% satisfactory, but they do review if there’s not just one, but multiple health violations, check if the food/meat is not raw, rotting or moldy, or has bacteria or any other diseases, and check for rodents or rodent droppings and cleanliness.

It's wild that this was an episode that aired on a children's cartoon channel I dont know what possessed them to shove a body in the police trunk, they could have left the body there and just hoped it would go unnoticed. Not the best idea, but it's better than what they did Also i could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure no customer - police or not - can just go to the back of a restaurant to get ice or food or something without permission
