If my post caused this reaction, I suggest you never read any comments, ever again. They get a lot worse!! Rather spend some more time on Amazon or Ebay. Just type "life" into the search bar. You really need to get one.

Great Graphics - My only observation is it got very tedious hearing the engine sound in a short constant loop. It became clear this clip reused a short soundbite for the engines. I think that stood out as prominent because everything else was excellent work. The short film beside that was fantastic. Please do not be angry at my one criticism / well not a real criticism. There's no sound in space. When these space scenes are done silently they take on a very eerie feel. Inside ship yes-outside no.

It is a standard convention of most sci-fi shows to include sounds when spacecraft fly by, despite that there would be no sounds heard through the vacuum of space.

What do you know about their technology? For example, their drive may emit ionized particles that emit radio waves that can be heard in a radio and sound like this. Or anything else.

What the defence system could not account for the speed and distance of the enemy and mist with it's weapon, not a very advanced technology.

Very nice & interessting idea to show a hyperpace/slipspace-portal as a mysty cloud instead of a space warp effect. Also nice twist at the end that the other ship is an intruder.

Undoubtedly brilliant animation. However, throughout it left me thinking "Where is the story?" It doesn't matter how good the production, if there is no story, it is not a completed project and has no interest for the viewer.

Yes, they could. No-one is criticizing the graphics; they are criticizing the lack of a story/plot. You can do graphics? Fine. Now collaborate with someone who can write a story. Until then, stop wasting our valuable time.

@@DieFlabbergast Did you think who are Dima and Julia Taran (school years mentioned)? If teachers, you may be right a bit... But if teenagers - what were you doing at their age? I was closer to eating sand in a sandbox than doing things like the movie.

Мне понравилось, модели хороши, но местами не логичны(5:00, я прям рассмеялся, когда "жалюзи" сворачивались секунд 20, а затем крышка вместе с ними просто откинулась :D)

the whole essence of storytelling is to keep your audience wondering. "always leave your audience wanting more" but that's besides the point.. if you'd bothered to read the video description, the guy says that it's just an animation he made when he was in school. it's not a story and it's not mean to be a story, it's just a little animation he made in school.

Thrice I repeat that it is the normal convention in most sci-fi shows to have spaceships make sounds in space, despite that there actually could be none.

To be fair, the sounds may be intended to be as heard by the crew of the ships. There IS air inside the ships, so there will be engine sounds, just like inside an airliner today; the sounds are transmitted through the body of the ship into the interior space.

@@DieFlabbergast I know you can hear inside the ship. What bothers me is when a movie shows the upside shot of a ship in space and you hear it’s thrusters. It’s like..ummm no. The movie Gravity did it perfectly. Zero sound when the astronauts are outside or when you see shots from outside the ship even during the barrage of space debris.

Thats why its called science FICTION! How bankrupt is your life and lifeskills so redundant that your only take away from a very good imaginative short film is to critize amateur attempts at deep space frontiers and fascination. Get a life Mr. Perfect- yeesh!

- You know we ve been growing up with the Empire Strikes Back, Alien and so on... The experience that we go through isn't always better just because it is more realistic. This one is just a short sci-fi. A good one.
