Tous 💜🙏🏽🌍
Hey, I was in the Guignol scene, age 8, in the middle, long hair, bang, duffle coat. In those days, nobody bothered to ask if they could film you, so I have the great honor of having been filmed by François Truffaut, in 1958.
@@lolofowl I am 60. Did some serious guitar playing (jazz guitar and such) in my years, but this for me is still something to enjoy listening and being in awe...
Ditto! I’m 57 and feel the same :-) I got to see Supertramp when I was 14 at the Miami Jai Alai Fronton and about 40 years later I got to see Roger Hodgson play this and many other classics at The Sharon Morse Theater in The Villages, Florida. I hope your father did see Supertramp or gets to see Roger Hodgson, if he hasn’t already :-)
One of my favorite song of Supertramp when I was a teenager. It makes me feel like if I was a child when I was in school. Who is still listerning to in december 2020 (a woman from France)
40 years ago when i was drunk and stoned listening to Supertramp crime of the century full album on an 8 tracks tape in my muscle car . Life was realy something different then today . We where free to do almost anything . The 70 s and the 80 s what a great time in human history . Just like the 50 s for my parents . Boy whe are lucky to have known this .
God help kids and young people nowadays. No privacy. Facebook and social media inspecting and reporting on their lives. All of them craving likes. It's shocking.
The best time to be alive for an American white male (no not trying to be racist, just that as a white young man looking back I had a few more privileges than I should have had). Being young in the 70s 80s where we still had to learn patience but on the cusp of technology. Was a very exciting time to be alive. Traveling through the world people would come up to me just because I came from the USA. Does not mean we need to go back to that time, we don’t have to live in the past, we motivate others by showing how we adopted to change. Vote to turn the page.
This sounds excellent but the first time I heard this song was on their live album Paris. There's something about the live energy on that recording to where I prefer that version.
One of the greatest songs of all time how does anybody give a thumbs down on this one apparently those people don’t get it thank you my dear friends from Costa Mesa California
C'est 🌠magnifique🙏 Respect for you... L.R
Everybody talks about the music, but ‘les 400 coups’ is a classic movie! For those who may care, the director, François Truffault, is the same guy that plays the French scientist, Claude Lacombe, in Close Encounters...’. His filmography is worth watching too!
That was almost the best part about the whole song, in this instance, lol.! Nearly stole the show with it, I can relate to the boy via François’ brilliant work, matches the music to perfection. Good job 👍
Such a great idea to mix this fantastic song with Truffaut's masterpiece "les quatre cents coups". They fit perfectly. Nice job. Thank you thank you thank you 😎
The video is so well put together with the music that I thought for a moment it was actually an official music video from back then. GREAT JOB! It gave me chills.
I remember the times I had to stay after school for detention and later in my Grad year skipping school. I think everyone can relate to something in this song and video of growing up in an atmosphere of discipline and rules.
Greetings from Northern 🇨🇦! This particular song described my turbulent teen years. Fast forward, I have shared this song with several teens, all have told me with down cast expressions how much they relate to it. Time moves on, yet somethings remain the same.
They were not underrated ffs!! Too many people coming out with underrated comments on RU-vid on world famous artists. World famous is not fkin underrated.
@@davehamilton8034 Their 2 best albums were #1 Crisis What Crisis? and #2 Crime of the Century. Two of the best albums ever made. And yes the song "Take the Long Way Home" sucks.
Awesome! Supertramp was and is still my favorite band of all time. I played the shit out my vinyl record Breakfast In America during my sophomore year at Eau Claire High. Thanks for posing this up.
Great tune. Supertramp made their mark in Montreal 1974 with this album. The local FM station played it incessantly and drilled it into the rock addled teens. Montrealers loved prog rock, prog rock bands loved playing in Montreal.
Supertramp fantastic! I remember my schooldays in Lima. Boy and girls in my primary school. In the secundary in a catholicschool and sometimes with militar discipline. My girlsschool Teresa Gonzales de Fanning. Francois Truffaut ,magnifique.Greetings from Peru.
This is really a masterpiece. I thought I knew Supertramp well but never heard this until streaming WXRT Chicago at work in Detroit. Detroit used to have the best radio stations in the nation but not anymore. 8 years stuck in $hotcago and the best thing I came home with from there was WXRT.
