LOVE all Schuyler Bibles. As you said, they are beautifully crafted and so enhance the reading experience. I have one of these RSV’s with the Apocrypha in firebrick red w/o the full yap. I'm commenting 2 years after this video post. Schuyler is my absolute favorite bible to read. I have the NASB Quentel, KJV Treveris, ESV Treveris, and just ordered the RSV (so delighted they still have them to purchase). I can hardly wait for it to be delivered, should be in my hands on Monday. ✝️

That is such a beauty, I don't know where to start. I love that Jerusalem cross, they definitely picked a winner for a company logo. I've never held a Schuyler, or an Allen, or a Cambridge for that matter but you can tell the quality of these Bibles. The craftsmanship of the cover alone is amazing, from the full yapp to the tool line, the edge work, to that beautiful red calfskin liner are just outstanding. I can only imagine how great this one must smell, and I love that you read to Rowdy. The black and red together is a great look and I also like that this one has the Apocrypha added. Thank you for sharing this amazing Bible with us and have a blessed day!

Your dog is too cute. I’ll have to try reading the Bible to my dog and see how he reacts. That black and red sure look good together. I also love their logo on the spine and cover. I need to look into this translation. Great video as always. Praying you get back to 100% good health 🙏

I gave my only Schuyler (ESV) away. I honestly didn't like it, at all. The burgundy was brownish, and it definitely didn't pass any sniff test. Maybe I got one from an off batch or something, but the price I paid was certainly not discounted. It turned me off from any future purchase, needless to say. :(

Wow. I love the RSV. It was my first Bible as a child in the 60's. I don't have it anymore. This is the absolute top of the line, you can't get any more premium than this - for any price. Great review! So glad you're feeling better, but I can tell you are still a bit under the weather. Will keep praying. Thank you so much for doing this review anyway for us! That is so very kind.

Love the look of Schuyler Bibles. I’ve got an old RSV from my childhood and it’s too small to read from now. I may have to invest in one of these to have a nice, readable RSV. Your dog is awesome. I love that he sniff tests Bibles 😆

I do too, Schuyler makes some of the most beautiful Bibles on the planet! They do a wonderful job on them and I love the Jerusalem cross logo. Rowdy sniff tests every Bible and it is so cute because he gives his favorites a little kiss and it is just adorable. He is an awesome little guy. Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes they do! These went quickly since you cannot hardly find an RSV let alone a really nice RSV so I think it is so neat that they did a Quentel in this translation. I absolutely love this Bible! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it 🙂

@@BibleBelievingChristian I spotted a link to this video and came back to watch again. I do wonder if I should have bought one, especially the firebrick red, but in the time since I first watched, I have managed to buy a Quentel ESV in dark green full yapp goatskin. I can confirm that the leather is amazing, so soft. And the full yapp adds an amazing quality to these Bibles. The only think I can think of that would improve it further would be the addition of those RSV drop caps. You're right about Schuyler Bibles being some of the very best.

Good review, yes that one large map could be split with a border, not a deal breaker but would make easier to study it. Schuyler and Jongbloed have set the bar high on binding for sure!

Yes I think the two page maps should be split because it is easier for sure but definitely not a deal breaker. I was happy to see the concordance font size is larger. It is just an overall gorgeous Bible! I absolutely LOVE it! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it 🙂

I've got a 1952 RSV by Melton book company without the apocryphal books, that I found at a thrift store for $1. It's got someone's name on the presentation page from 1971...the year of my birth. I love finding books with other's names in it.

Oh how neat! I love finding great old Bibles like that. It makes me wish that they could talk and tell us about their previous owners. @@BibleBelievingChristian i always wonder the same. For the last few years, I've been buying in shape, old bibles from the goodwill, salvation army, and habitat for humanity restores. With bibles getting newer versions, i feel it's important to keep some older ones on hand. You never know when those new changes may take the Word in a totally apostate direction. Also have to say that i had never heard of the word Yapp before watching your channel

I have subscribed a long while back, thanks for doing this review, the RSV uses traditional language, it doesn't use inclusive language, I am sure you will enjoy the Psalms in this translation they are very beautiful, I am Roman Catholic, one of my favorite books in the deutero canonical books is the book of Ecclesiasticus/Sirach. Very nice layout and presentation. The font could stand to be a little bit darker, though😉 Cute dog. I have a black haired shepherd, which really loves hour-long walks. I usually listen to the Bible or some calm music while we explore the wilderness😃

I like a bold print as well… Rowdy is a great little dog, I just love him to pieces, he is such a blessing to have. I bet your dog is beautiful! I love dogs! Are they making the print darker now? That was my only problem with their Bibles, the print was a little lighter than Cambridge and Allan Bibles

They have the Quentel in the NKJV but not with the apocrypha and they do have some KJV Bibles in a few different layouts. I don’t recall which options have VBV. The NKJV Quentel does not. But check out their website evangelicalbible.com and also not all varieties come in a full yapp edition. But they do have some really beautiful Bibles on their site. Please pray for me. I can’t afford Christmas for my children this year. Im embarrassed. I was fired from my job because I declined getting the vaccine. I declined because I’m battling lupus and I’m in pain everyday. I also have heart disease. I already take so many medications, including blood thinners. So I declined. I’m a single mother with two autistic children both are non verbal. I feel so ashamed. We are facing homelessness this month. My husband died three years ago. So i’m all alone. Please pray for me.
