Even though you sold it, could you give me any tips about mounting my own engine on my bike? I have a Schwinn stingray and just bought a 125cc Lifan engine, and it should fit perfectly... if I cut the load bearing rod under he seat, as you have here.
I put the motor on first to see were about it will be straight. I maked it with a sharpie on tje frame. Cut out the plate and drilled slotted holes so i can tighten it down where it needs to be
I know this was a long time ago beautiful bike you built BTW I currently have two of these bikes welded side by side with a big frame enclouse around it mines electric gas would have been nice since battery's are heavy af, but straight to the point can you explain how to built the front suspension?
How did you mount the motor did you put a motor mount on it ? I'm currently making one but don't know how to put the motor on I'm working on the bars rn and the frame stretch
Wait isn't this the purple haze? I've been kinda trying to recreate this bike atm, trying to make mine into a bobber. What dimensions did you use for the double bar?
I’m having a problem with mine where it will only start if I twist the throttle all the back and have it at full throttle. But with yours you just pull and it starts easy. Any fix?
Passion 4 Perfection of course, I ended up switching out the predator 212 to Honda gx200 witch made it sound better and even faster. I put a yz250 front end on it, and Harley sportster tank on it. And you do hear the bike run at 3:30
I've seen dirtbikes/motorcycles bikes with motors half the size that had a little less torque and a couple less horsepower break 60mph with their dirtbike style gears. these Predator 212cc engines are rated only 6.5 hp and around 3500 RPM maybe close to 4000 RPM but my friend just took a stock 212 and all he did was he turned the screw so the throttle can open all the way up and tested it on a dyno jet to over 5500 RPM and 8.8 horsepower!!--BTW turning the exterior screw so the throttle can be pulled all the way IS NOT removing the governor for anyone reading this--the governor--a.k.a. the rev limiter is the low oil sensor located inside the case on these Predator 212--once you remove that the engine can rev I think over 7000 RPM stock although we bever tried that and I think I have seen videos of people upgrading the whole motor and getting 9000 RPM off this motor (and probably only 1 season of life!) so if you just turn that exterior throttle screw and use a very mild torque convertor/ sprocket setup you can either get easily to 45mph with loads of torque or yeah I bet you could crawl up to 70mph with agressive top speed torque convertor gearing....imagine what a monster it could be with a torque convertor that runs to a jackshaft that runs to the pedal crank that runs to a 7 plate rear cassette that you can change gears on!!! ---Then it would fraking wheelie all the way up to 75mph and people would die.
