JNT gave Doctor Who life beyond what the BBC had in mind so without him I doubt we would have Who now. From what I understand he went above and beyond promoting Who when others were against it. Regardles of who the Doctor is played by they all do a good job, we may not like all the them but that is just life as we know it.
