We recently had an eye-opening conversation with walleye biologist Nick Baccante, who led walleye research in Northern Ontario. His work was so prestigious that he presented his findings to the United Nations. From Nick, we learned that post-spawn spring walleyes can be very predictable when you know exactly where to find them. Here are a few key insights to help you locate these fish. First, you need to identify their spawning grounds. Once you've determined where they've spawned, you need to understand what's keeping them there post-spawn and where they are starting to move. Once you've figured this out, you'll have cracked the code to post-spawn walleye fishing.
