I can kind of see that in a vacuum, but there was already a book character to base the character around, as "American psycho" is a novel by Bret Easton Ellis.
Stars involved in Scientology must be in quite a pickle if they want to leave. All of their secrets then become part of fair game. If you think about it, it’s truly amazing that Leah has done what she has.
I doubt they would say much because it says more about them and what they like in order to recruit rather than bad habits of their recruits...to me anyway! Id find myself defending all of them just because they left! Id find strength in them leaving! And Leah, is amazing for being transparent about them despite anything they may know!
@tThisNThat Do you? Do you, really? And, pray tell how you "know" this? "Intuition?" "Soothsayer?" "Tea leaves?" "Mind reader?" "Instinct?" I don't like Tom Cruise and have seen a total of two of his movies. After that, I, with my intuition, decided there was something about him that I didn't like and never watched another movie with him in it. What I have learned since, especially about Katie Holmes having to "escape" with her daughter, verified my intuition/gut feeling. Imagine having to escape and do a play on "Mission Impossible" just to get away from your husband and not leave your child in his clutches.
Aaron, thinking of Hubbard’s “prison planet” concept, C. S. Lewis wrote “Out of the Silent Planet” way before Hubbard. It seems he was always cobbling together other writer’s ideas to create his own fantasy to sell.
So just because he’s a nice guy eliminate the fact that he’s involved in a call that does horrible things to its members that you know he is 100% aware of?
@@RobbieLavender Personally I think its always been acknowledged for very many reasons,,,but if I had a choice of one to meet would rather JT, at least he has that going for him, but I hear ya. Shelly was nicer than Dave too apparently
@RobbieLavender You may be conflating TC with JT? Travolta is probably not aware of the seriousness of the abuses in Scientology. I suspect, if John knew what we know...he would flip his lid. Cruise knows *at least* quite a bit of it.
John is a sweet man. When living in Florida a girl I worked with had a baby! John was there visiting a friend who just gave birth. He went room to room congratulating all the moms and see there babies and pass love and good vibes to all on the floor.❤ I since I was a child have had on my bucket list to dance the hustle with John Travolta. It has never changed. I am glad to know you all have said it should still be on my list. I love John Travolta!❤
I have a friend who had dealings with Cruise, who was "romping" in another country, He said the way Cruise treated his own staff, as well as locals, was atrocious, basically cringe worthy. Horrible human being.
@Elnizymdeep The poster wrote, "a friend who had dealings with Cruise." That means, this person believes his friend. As his friend had dealings with Cruise, why would he not believe it?
Ben Stiller has a great reputation for helping his friends. Janeane Garofalo when asked how to get into film & TV work, replied, "serve Ben Stiller at a deli counter". That's how they met. Though, of course, he spotted that she was very smart & funny. A zillion years ago, for the opening night of the lousy Staying Alive film, my mother interacted with John Travolta - because the proceeds from the night were going to Autism charities (funding group homes for severely autistic adults, training for pediatricians on how what to look for diagnose autism as young as possible - it makes a huge difference to get special help as early for a child as can be) & that's what my Mom did, unpaid, with her life. She wasn't a fan, had never seen him in anything, she was there because she was asked to be, because they wanted publicity for the fact that they were being charitable. Fair enough. She remarked how very pleasant Mr Travolta was, and, what she noticed, was that nobody around him was nervous or fluttering over him like a princeling. His crew of staff were relaxed and enjoying the night themselves.

If Scientology thinks Tom Cruises behavior is a good representation of their cult, EXCELLENT! The worse, most off-putting, abrasive individual they use as an "Ambassador", the sooner this nonsense stops.
Being in the church doesn’t automatically make you a monster. I hope Travolta is doing okay. He’s had a rough few years with losing his son and his wife.
In Scientology you sign a billion year contract, so you’re going to live millions of lives a human, so it really doesn’t matter when you lose people. It’s a big reason why Tom Cruise has no attachment to Siri.
And marrying and divorcing four beards in a row, a luxury afforded to only the very highest echelon of compromised closeted Hollywood cult-lunatic fairies (who made the innocent mistake of divulging their deepest sexual secrets to an evil cult member, while being recorded). Not to mention Nicole hooking up with another pint-sized midget, so that's two relationships in a row now where she looks like the Mommy and her "partner" looks like her young son. Not a good look for poor Tom -Thumb- Cruise, whose only wish is to try to maintain the self-delusional fantasy that anyone outside of his hermetically sealed closet is unaware that, unless he's been doing an uncannily good Vincent Price vampire impression since the early 1980s, the only people he's fooling are professional fools, fools' fools, seventh generational fools, One fool to fool them all and so on. I'm sure there's nothing in it, especially with her surname literally being KID-MAN and all. No, really...nothing to see here. Pretty sure her Dad didn't disappear suddenly and turn up deceased somewhere in South-East Asia (in two different locations, at least, depending on which media outlet's article you read) after the (admittedly strenuously full of $hit) Fiona Barnett made public claims about him being a member of an Australian branch of a child rape/torture/hunting/sacrifice cult (amongst other bizarre horse$hit), which wouldn't at all fit in with his decades-long tenure as head of psychology at University of Sydney... Aaaaaah, Hollywood: pure class.
I met Travolta before his star rose again with Pulp Fiction. Randomly ran into him in a hotel coffee shop in a small town. He was traveling between SF and LA. He was super chill and friendly. Actually chatted for a few minutes before I left him to his coffee.
@@annmariedeangelis Our club is bigger than his stardom. He's no good.i just like the action guy ( Check the haunted Mansion. =equals the abuela with the chancla) he stopped being tthat long ago. sure, he can lead Mission Impossible. But what else ?
That's hilarious that Dave tells his slaves that he's going to snitch about them to Tom if they don't straighten up. Reminds me of when my mom would threaten to tell my dad what I did bad. 😂
My mother never did that, she didn't think it was right. Punishment was addressed when it happened, and appropriate punishment, grounding, apologise, extra chores, etc, was given. Only once did I get spanked, and most of my siblings never got spanked (there were eight of us,) and I deserved it. My father was a disciplinarian if he was the one to whom the transgression was reported. I would much rather have had my father know than my mother. My father prescribed the punishment and that was that. My mother held a grudge.
I just wanted to say that I love watching you guys. It is so educational to listen to you both who have been in this so called church. I’ve watched Leah for many years and believe the extent that this church goes after people who leave and destroy families. I’m so glad you guys made it out and are showing all your viewers about what you know and been through.
Yeah like its not there. Why are they not helping these people out. Did they all get a big pay raise so they want to stay. I have heard their stories there are no excuses.
I know one true story that was positive about Tom Cruise. When they were shooting Rain Man near us, my grandma's best friend, who was in her 80s and deaf as a post went down to see him. He was super sweet to her, had an autographed photo sent to her and told her she reminded him of his grandma. He wrote to her at least twice that she showed me. It's hard to reconcile that guy with the arrogant man he is now.
From the day I saw TC on show going on about Brooke Sheilds depression and antidepssants and his BS about no one should take psyche meds. I am a severe abuse survivor, with severe cPTSD, Depression, anxiety and this idiot is telling me? Ive never seen a single TC movie since. I bycotted TC since.
I'm 6'2. Got into argument with a guy the size of Tom at a house party years ago. I thought I'd give him a little scare and pushed him. Before I could even bring my arms back in, I was falling to the ground, struggling to breathe, and felt like i was dying. This 'little' guy juked to the side and punched me in my liver! It was so fast I didn't even really see it happen. He just stood there and laughed at me. Never underestimate your opponent. Height alone isn't going to win a fight for you. Mike Tyson is an excellent example.
The claim that Cruise introduced Scientlogy to "1,037,361,227 people of Earth" is either A) a rough estimate of how many people have seen a Tom Cruise film, or B) a number pulled directly from Miscavige's ass.
Ben Falcone is an excellent writer as well especially,Bad Words.. Loved his writing and Jason Bateman. She wasn't in it, but their work together on The Happy Time Murders and Tammy are hilarious.
Once IRS decides Scientology is not a religion, will scientology have to pay back all the money to the IRS? Will they just claim bankruptcy? Who will own all the real estate?
The Tom Cruise Cake Club is internationally famous. British TV host, Graham Norton joked that he wasn't on the list. A staffer told him, "Yes you are. It's delicious!" Is a coconut cake & so good that there wasn't any left for Norton. That bakery must go 24 hours to bake & ship them, each Christmas.

John Travolta is the ambassador for QANTAS and owned an ex QANTAS 707 and gifted back to Australia to put in the QANTAS museum. As an Aussie Flight Attendant ✈️ I love John Travolta. His movies were my favourite in the 90s too.
I stopped liking Tom Cruise when he went on his rant years ago. I do not watch his movies etc. the arrogance and narcissistic attitude. Also the total disrespect in those interviews. His personality just reeks!!!
Also a big eye opener for everyone should be what happened with his last two marriages and how that went down. To walk away from your child also shows the type of person he is but thankfully he did for his daughters sake.
This was a great stream. I have been watching you guys (sp tv) for about a month now and have learned a ton of information. It all started with the “Where is Shelly Miscavage” videos that Claire Headly did. Now I’m watching several of the channels and am amazed at how all of you went from being beaten down and just wanting to escape to one heck of a force to be reckoned with. I love that you all are taking a negative and turning it into a positive which is something lil davey didn’t have the foresight to see coming. And probably still thinks he can bully his way out of because history shows people of his mind set think they will always come out on top. I love the chemistry you two have with telling your truths and how you lift each other up while working to bring this cult down. Keep up the fight and know you all have probably recruited way more “sps” then Scientology has recruited in recent history just by sharing what you went through and being willing to let yourselves be open about it. Thank you and have a great day
There was a situation where John couldn't see Spanky because she was undergoing some punishment. So how could anyone think he's not aware of what goes on?
Didn’t she go see him after she got away and the end result if her getting John "back in" was getting Declared and finding out john disconnected? Or was there someone else that got called spanky?
@raycin313 Remember: seeing these things as a never-in is a very different set of eyes from seeing the same things with Scientology-blinded eyes. To them it's EXPECTED, understood, and *normal.* We know better...most of them TRULY do not.
You're 💯 rights about the vision thing and being a pilot. My brother used to be in the Air Force and that's why he couldn't earn his wings. Because he wore contact lenses.
I have no affiliation with Scientology and as an outsider, two cultish qualities always stand out when I hear Scientologist speak. One is the constant use of unique acronyms and abbreviations, which mean nothing at all to anyone outside of Scientology, and so they are alienating to anyone on 'the outside' and naturally isolating to anyone involved with the organization. I have an aunt who is a Southern Baptist and her everyday conversation is a little bit like this to a small degree, as she'll make biblical references that are part of daily life to those in her megachurch, but she has no idea that these references are meaningless to people who aren't religious, and she's oblivious to how others feel about it when they point out that she's speaking in a kind of code that is lost on others. But even that is to a much smaller degree than the incredible share of Scientologists' conversations that are made up of never-explained abbreviations. If I ever hear people speak this way, I know they are involved in some kind of all-consuming cultlike society. The other tendency that *all* Scientologists I have heard speak in a public forum is really interesting to me because it's shared with both the entertainment industry and professional politics: incessant networking. In both this conversation and the other one I watched with Jenna Miscavige, as well as the Leah Remini series and various documentaries, Scientologists in conversation *incessantly* invoke names of various people they know in common and always are feeling one another out for "Do you know ____?" I live in Washington, D.C. and I hear (and dread) these sorts of interactions at business-related events, including happy hours, and when I worked with the entertainment industry, it was the same-people constantly throw our names of people to determine who knows whom. But in both industries, these interactions are pretty limited to business-related occasions, whereas it seems like Scientologists are programmed to constantly probe one another to determine shared acquaintances. Once they do this, they share their assessments of those individuals and then move on to asking about other individuals. It's really fascinating to me that all Scientologists do this by default. I would love to know if Scientologists are aware that they do this and, if so, if they understand why they do it. I'm very introverted and not a social butterfly, granted, but it seems outstandingly characteristic of Scientologists to interact with one another by saying, "Did you know ____?" and then trading assessments of the person and then moving on to naming other people and asking if others know them. I can't help wondering: to what end?
You guys should mass produce and sell t-shirts that say, “I was declared an SP and couldn’t be happier”. Just so people can wear them out in public whether they were a Scientologist or not, lol.
Travolta had Jett treated for both autism and epilepsy very appropriately. They did not let Scientology interfere. He died from a fall in the bathroom, he hit his head on something. I haven’t heard that he also had pneumonia, but if he was diagnosed with that I am quite sure the Travoltas would have made sure he was properly treated. People can have pneumonia without realizing it, though (walking pneumonia).
JT is definitely (or was) on OT 7! RTC at Flag was all over his service when he was there along with family... ALL his sessions where 100% recorded and reports sent up to DM... He was being audited personally by Art Webb and then Richard Riess..
there is a video by one of the actual top gun pilots that flew in the movie. he talks about what flying tom cruise actually did. he did do some. the tricky stuff was an actual top gun pilot.
You haven’t had pure joy until you feed your your young nieces Nerds & Ice cream! And then give them back to your twin brother (needless to say, my nieces think I rock! :) )
What a perfect name..Sterling. He is such a gem of a person. He is extremely nice..so funny n honest. He is always lightheaded. He rarely shows any kind of stress. He stays lighthearted n fun. And to put a cherry on top... I think he is handsome. I really like him and really enjoy listening to what he has to say.
I bet if Tom’s hero says not to send gifts to somebody, then Tom listens and doesn’t Ask questions. He knows she’s not around. I don’t think he needs a reason other than that David says so, no matter how generous he is to people outside the cult.
I followed the making of the movie cuz I loved the book . Brad admitted drinking every weekend all weekend cuz he was dreading going back to work on Monday . Honestly it probably helped their performances cuz their character’s relationship in the book was so messed up
@@catherinesanchez1185 I loved the book too! Well, actually, The Vampire Lestat was my favorite, but Interview was up there. I had all kinds of ideas about who Lestat would be, and I was soooooo disappointed when they cast Cruise lol
NO I'm not having a fantastic Wednesday. I'm having a fantastic Thursday here in Australia. Remember it's not American everywhere. Time zones Aaron. TIME ZONES. 😅
Tom cruise is the exec producer on most of his films in at least the last decade. If he wanted to help his friends he could. It’s possible he is trying to publicly distance himself from the scientoligist persona that kind of made him a bit of a joke or he just for not like people.
Great content as always! You guys have really inspired my and my channel to move more into SPTV content, including my lasted upload: Did Marvel Comics Stan Lee and Jack Kirby Really Create Scientology’s Xenu? Episode 336 Thanks again!!!
Totally off topic, but god dammit, yesterday I got a piece of Scientology mail for my father. It was from Galaxy press. My father died in 2015. He never lived at this address. I thought we'd escaped their mailings, so I'm super pissed. Once or twice a year at this new address we get things for my brother, which is absolutely insane and stupid since my brother has never even resided in this state or done a course since the 90's. Anyway, I hope Galaxy Press is the only one who has this address, because back in the day we'd get two to five mailings A DAY, and often duplicates because random Orgs had my dad's name and address. And that thick glossy magazine, forgot the name, often two copies of that, sometimes an international mailing because it came from Saint Hill. I collected pounds of their shit. I stared sending back their mailers to cost them money and filled things out with nonsense. I even wrote letters asking them to stop. I was also getting phone calls and answered a few to try to get them to stop, but damn they're good and made me lose my temper once, just F, did I hate the guy I spoke to.
@troberts1 Oh, sweetie, just write to The Aftermath Foundation and get their cards (maybe a little donation?). Each and EVERY time you get a mailing, put one of the TAF cards in their return envelopes. You will be what is called "dead-filed"... very quickly! You may have to do it a few times, but just keep it up. Scientology does NOT want their members seeing those cards!
Back around 1985 or 86, when I was a teenager, we got something in the mail that said fill this out and get a free book. It was Dianetics. I filled it out, got the book, read two pages and ditched it. Never had another communication with them. Flash forward 30+ years, 3 addresses, and different last name later, and I am getting mail from them again. Two at a time because one is being sent to my maiden nane, and one to my married name. I was nobody to them. It is ridiculous to think what they went through to track me down.
Tom Cruise may be a notable actor, but he is not a good human because it is cruel to excommunicate from your child. Suri had no choice in believing or not in Scientology, but for a grown man to have a child and blame her for not being a Scientologist (out of her control regardless of his wishes) and starting at under two years old says a lot about Tom Cruise. I don't see anything he is in (not that it matters because he has a huge audience no matter what he releases). I don't believe in supporting people that don't have your basic life values). Thankfully I escaped and went into corporate marketing, but I was in this world for a minute out of college and the values of many of these people is pretty base level. John Travolta seems like a very decent guy. I have not heard anyone complain about his character and he always seemed to be involved in his kids lives. Huge difference between the two.

What's interesting to me, in a weird way, is that I love seeing movies with John Travolta; he is really a great actor. He is amazing in his ability to completely become a character. Tom Cruise is a lousy actor; the only times I've been able to stomach him is when he was surrounded by other good strong actors. I find him stiff and boring.
Is Christopher Masterson in Scientology? You notice Warner Bros., Paramount, etc. don't make movies with TC..... His only income appears to come from his own production of Top Gun -- and Mission Impossible...over and over again . . . thank God I won't be alive when Top Gun and Mission Impossible 100 comes out! SMH
43:30 - I thought I had read that Cruise told Boniadi himself that "there was LRH up here" [motions with his hand at "X" height], that "there was Dave Miscavige here" [motions with hand to point slightly under height attributed to LRH] and "he (Cruise himself) was here" [motions with hand to point very slightly under point attributed to Miscavige], as in telling her they were the one, two three of Scientology. But that sure sounds like something that other little arrogant PoS, Tommy Davis, would say, and as much as it would sound like something Cruise would say about himself, it sounds even moreso like something that Davis would say to "punish" this girl. I wonder if she realizes the bullet that she dodged?
I don't know if you have talked about this, but does Kelly Preston and Kirstie Alley passing from cancer mean they were afflicted by SP's? It seems like a true scientologist would be in perfect health and live forever.
For some reason, John just doesn’t seem CRAZY devoted to Scientology, definitely not like Tom. Tom is nuts, he’s even friends with Miscavige. I don’t know if John is THAT close with Miscavige. Also, like Sterling mentions, John doesn’t seem arrogant
