Buddy Ingersoll was my mentor ,I worked alongside Scooter trying to finish Buddys last Mercury. Buddy and Scooter brought turbos to drag racing long before anyone knew what they could do. And they had the sanctioning bodies worried. TRUE INNOVATORS and GREATER FRIENDS

Scooter helped me back in late 2000's with some cams that lost lobes,we spoke for a while and I have great respect for him, thanks Scooter!!

We dealt with a lot of those characters back in the mid 70's through the 80's. Joe Lunati, Cam Dynamics, and even some of the independent guys like Ron with Race Cams. With limited access to dynos, us racers were the testing grounds. We were pitted next to Buddy at Indy in 84 or 85 when running in Comp Eliminator. When he would warm that thing up it did not sound very good and smoked quite a bit. But he got faster every pass with that Buick V6 turbo combo. Went over and asked him what the limitation was on it and he said whatever the short block will hold 🤣. We made it to the semifinals and he won the race.

Ya’ll need to recognize this all, for what it really is, beyond the history and technology, it is mentoring the up and coming generations.
