Scope Leveling -- The Easy Way 

There’s a few things to consider with this method: you are assuming that the reticle of the scope is exactly perpendicular to the scope base, which isn’t always the case. Also when torquing the rings down you might introduce tension which might end up with the scope not being level. So you will still need to check with spirit levels after mounting the scope. It’s all not that critical if you shout out to 100 or 200 yards but 1 or 2 degrees cant will result in a miss at 100 yards.( up to almost 25 “ )

What baffles me, is why do scope manufacturers, after all these years, have not come up with a way to have a small flat area on the scope which corresponds 100% with the horizontal crosshair. That would eliminate the need to do all these calisthenics to mount a scope.

I have one of these and it works great on most full length mounts , not so much if the rifle has a 2 piece mount .

People more out of leveling a scope than it really is , it’s really simple task to do, I as well as many others would have no use for this added piece of equipment, Can guarantee I can level a scope quicker and just as accurately my way that someone can with that ,

That's the Japanese arisaka scope leveling kit.

Guys I'm not saying this isn't a good product for certain applications but I have an Eratac one piece mount and when I torque it down to the rail it cocks to one side slightly so the scope requires levels to make it right. Making this not a viable option.

AR's are super easy to level with bubble levels. So what's the point of this?
