West Desert Shooter np man! You are just hitting the nail on the head haha every scope review should be as good and as techinical as you do it GOOD JOB!!
Great review bud, I looked at these but I can't go back to 30mm and 50mm objectives now. 34mm and 56mm gives the perfect elevation adjustment range and best clarity, I also noticed that my eyes don't fatigue as much with a 56mm. When you go beyond 1200yds, you notice the difference. We just took my new custom 300 win mag to 1600yds (easily had a good 200-300yds left) the other day and besides the smooth, and little recoil, what impressed me the most was the ability to see the hits on the target at that distance with the Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56. That Toric does have Shott glass so it will help. I might pick the Toric up for my LRP.
Piro The Great You think 34mm is nice, you should try 40mm. I just picked this Toric Tract up for my .308 Savage TR10 LE/MIL (mounted in a Cadex Field Competition Chassis) and it is very nice (similar in clarity to my Recon and Trijicon ACOG.). I also have a .338LM Sako TRG42 with a 4-28x50 40mm FFP IOR Valdada Recon which also uses German Schott Glass. I wish more Optics had inline Parallax, it really makes max power useable. On my Remington 700 6.5 Creedmoor (Magpul Hunter Stock) I have a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50, and my Sig Sauer 716 DMR has Primary Arms 4-14x44mm.
@@Len_M. how does this scope compare to something like a PST Gen2? Sorry, but this is the only scope that I've ever bought and I've actually saved up to buy it. I'm trying to gain an understanding how good the next tier scopes are and if it is worth the money. Although I'm frugal, I still love quality and willing to pay a premium on rifles and glasses, but only as long as I can sleep at night knowing what I'd bought is worth it. Thank you. Any input will help. Such as sub 1000 glasses vs Japanese vs German. I'm a new precision shooter and looking for a scope for my Howa 1500 in KRG Bravo
Great review , looks like a great scope equipped with all the right tools needed. I followed your link to the website, seen the price, and exited just as quick! Lol The rent for just visiting is more than I can afford...lol. I'm sure its worth it though.
Great review. Not a lot of info on this optic. Would this be a good upgrade on your swfa fixed power? Any other scope in this price range that you would consider? Thanks .
Great review!! Here in South Africa we have optics from Japan called Lynx Optics. Their 5-30x56 competition optic uses the same type of zero stop which is simple and effective without compromising elevation adjustment. Not sure if they are available in the US
Love your channel! I'm just getting started in reloading and I'm wanting to shoot mid to long range . I think you sold me on this scope. Where can I buy your West desert shooter apparel.
I had a little trouble finding the video with the through the scope views because the date stamp on that video is in the future from this one, not the past. Here is a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D03kCHktgzE.html
I like the finish its almost the same as my new 7 Dakota build too bad its not 34mm and higher magnification say, 27 or 30x. Price seems reasonable too for what it is. If you haven't looked at the Primary Arms 6-30 FFP check it out.
