Thanks again John, great presentation. Would you say Captivate has xAPI embedded for the tracking of the student activities? This is SCORM does it automatically come with xAPI? or is it Captivate 2019 that has its' own API that carries into Moodle?
Hi Anne, yes most authoring tools are xAPI enabled as well, and at it's simplest, works the same as SCORM when used inside an authoring tool. xAPI is best utilised outside an authoring tool and "programmed" in to other experiences, like viewing documents, watching videos etc, this is a whole new conversation :)
Hi, thank you very much for this very well explained tutorial. I am struggling with one thing: I did well publishing and uploading the zip file into the Moodle activity. It appears inside the course. However, when I click on it, and then, in "enter", the "loading" sign circle keeps rounding, and the file does not open. Do you have any idea of what I am doing wrong?
Hi Midori, you may need to check that check that "reporting" is turned on. Check this part of the video for the Captivate settings ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oGiolT60QAM.html
@@Learningplan Hi! Thank you very much for your answer! It worked! The "reporting" was checked but one of the titles was not exactly the same, as you had pointed out. I think when I created a new file from zero, I forgot to revise this part, even having listened to you asking to double-check it!!!
thanks John, I Am going to develope a LMS system and i have to write code for displaying and track SCORM content. Also i need to know how i have to design my database to store the student activity.
