Only thing I don’t like about it is the lack of a drop down visor, which it’s available on the uk version

Drop down visors have pros and cons. They're extremely convenient, but decrease EPS foam in a prime impact zone. They also add weight and possibility of malfunctions. A good work around are photochromic shield inserts.

Are you able to rock the peak and the visor at the same time?? Or do you have to remove the visor to wear the peak

Great Question! The optional peak will sit where the visor pivot also sits, so you'd be able to use one or the other.

Love the asphalt version with the black details and peak, unfortunately it is not available in Europe is such combination

No but you guys have the white that isn’t available here in NA plus the EU version have the inner smoke sun visor that NA doesn’t have. I ordered mine from the UK and paid the extra 45$CAD for the white version and don’t regret it considering the smoke integrated visor !

Is that an option to just order it from Europe? Do they also have the DOT stickers?

@@giocrypt5148 We always advise that US consumers purchase helmets from US dealers for a few key reasons. Should you have a warranty claim it's likely to be denied by a US warranty agent if the helmet was not purchased in the US. It's also worth noting helmets purchased outside of the US are not DOT homologated (no DOT label) and thus not legal for road use in the US. And finally should you need to exchange or return a helmet from foreign dealer it will be costly and time consuming.

Having trouble removing the face shield. I removed the bolts, but there is still an L shaped piece inside the groove in the helmet that I can’t get to come out. I positioned it where the manual says, but that piece is going to snap off if I pull any harder. Any tips?

The HX1 has two Allen bolts on either end of the shield, but Scorpion does include this with the purchase, hope that helps!

You've got a great point. Most riders want a smoke shield and would be willing to pay a little bit more. We have a feeling Scorpion was trying to keep this helmet under that $200 price point.

If you regularly ride in the rain we'd recommend the EXO R1 Air or other helmet with ample weather beading and a rain mask option. Thanks for the question!
