Yes this is how you show the officer 🖕and if he doesn't understand than show him double 🖕🖕that should clarify things for him bc he's not an officer, just a code follower that imposes bs rules that they call law but is just color of law
For those wanting to buy this helmet I can comment info to help as I've been riding with mine. The helmet is very lightweight, in size large is lighter than my old RX7. The air bladder system works excellent to adjust fit, and it makes the helmet quieter as the bags extend through the neck roll under the ears . The interior is very comfortable, Scorpion does a great job. The fit is NOT like the previous R2000, it's more of a round oval. It is pretty tight on my forehead as I have the long/intermediate oval head shape. It is a dead ringer of the Shoei x spirit 3 in fit. Hopefully I can compress the foam so it fits better, if not I will be buying something else. They shouldn't have changed it, as most Caucasian American riders tend to have longer head shapes. Though it has speaker pockets for comms they are sized on the small and shallow side. The 45 mm JBL in my Cardo set had to be forced in to the sockets, and it folds my ears over when I put the helmet on. Very annoying. Trade off is the helmet is very aerodynamic well above 120 mph very stable. Very quiet with ear plugs on my Tuono. Ventilation is very good, and easy to use. The shield release is kind of awkward for me as almost every helmet I've had in the past thirty years the shield release was on the left side. This one is in the middle. It latches positive though so lot less chance of it flying up when the organic fertilizer hits the fan. The shield fogs instantly, breath deflector does very little. Plan on installing the pin lock insert before ever using. I got the Bautista Replica, and pics don't do the finish justice. The helmet is beautiful colored, and the graphics are as good or better than on my previous Arai and AGV. Super wet looking clear coat. It is a real head turner for sure. Finally it came with a really heavy helmet carrying bag, an extra light smoke shield, two pin lock inserts and a silky visor carrying bag. Plus it has a five year from mfg date warranty. And Scorpion stands behind it pretty well. It's not perfect, but for the money it is far better than anything else I've tried priced similar. Yes, that includes the RPHA. The RPHA might be half ounce lighter, but isn't made as good. Scorpion Exo for the win!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the R1 Air, we appreciate it! While we had some nitpicks here and there on the Scorpion, we were definitely impressed with its noise isolation and price, considering the various extras included in the box. How have you found the ventilation compared to your Arai?
@@Championhelmets The ventilation is really close. The Arai is only slightly better with the nifty brow vents extra, and in all the miles covered in it, I never noticed a hot spot where the cooling airflow didn't reach. It was 82* F here today, and I noticed with the Scorpion that there is a warm spot right at the base in the back of the helmet. Not bad or anything but is noticeable. I've paid double for AGV that vent no where as good as it does, so I'm well pleased with it.
@@deweysturgill6220 We've found that across the board, helmets using Arai's diffuser system (including even their open face the SZ-R VAS) show incredible venting performance. @@brianskibbe7881 I actually got the Bautista Replica, and I love it. The online pictures don't do the finish justice. The red devils in the graphics are actually closer to a florescent orange than the Marlboro red used on v4 and factory v2 Aprilia, but it is very close. The Fabio red is more like the red used on my 08 Tuono Diablo Black, it's got like a maroonish tinge to it, if that makes sense. The Fabio matched my April really good, but I was blown away by the finish on the Bautista in person.
@@Championhelmets It is difficult to say something about this helmet, because I just ordered it and am waiting for delivery. I would also like to travel thoroughly in it in order to form my own opinion about it. I also want to say that it was your review with a description of the parameters of the helmet while riding that influenced my choice. After all, usually all reviews are limited to unpacking and a description of the configuration. You have great content on your channel that will allow people to know exactly the essence.

thx for the review, i have the Shoei X14 now (Marquez 2016) and love it, but looking to get another one, this one is it i think, seems to be an overall great value ! i was able to see the Fabio one in person, was blown away just how light it was!!! crazy, pricing is good with this one imo, i wont spend 1K lol, likely getting the Fabio one, i also like the fact they include dark smoke shield which most or all others done, and yes pinlock is a must, thx again , btw i assume id be a M in this one, as i am a M in the X14, ..Dave from Canada
We were also very surprised by the EXO R1 Air's weight, not to mention the pricing and performance. As far as sizing, some seem to have found the Scorpion fit a bit differently, so it's always best to double check against the size chart and check the helmet out (if possible) in person, especially if switching between brands. Looking for answer. New rider looking for all round helmet, comfort, noise, quality, aero etc. Think I've narrowed it down to shoei 1400 or this scorpion exo r1. I think i like the styling a bit better in this scorpion, but looking for the better all round helmet??? I'll be on a sport bike

you have the best helmet reviews ! I want to ask your opinion which helmet would you suggest me between between scorpion exo 1400 air and scorpion exo r1 air . I think these two and the hjc rpha70 are the best helmet for 350 euro.
Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it! The main difference to consider between the two Scorpions are what sort of riding you plan on doing. Since the R1 Air is mainly designed for sport, it will perform best when in a racing tuck. In contrast, the EXO-1400 Air will offer improved touring performance for more upright riding, and it includes a drop down sun visor. What is the noise difference between the r1 air and the exo 1400 carbon? I'm deciding between these two. I do not go to the track but I also do not use the drop down inner shield. I use it for city/back road/highway use. I like both but wondering what the real differences between comfort/noise/ventalation are? I ride an upright naked bike
Surprisingly enough, we actually found the R1 Air (98 dB) to be about 2 dB quieter than the EXO 1400 Carbon Air (100 dB). Most likely, this was helped by the R1's excellent neck roll, which formed a tight seal around the bottom of the helmet. For ventilation and comfort, both Scorpions offered about the same level. If you compare this one to the exo 1400, what are the biggest differences as the price is almost the same? I was leaning towards exo 1400 but found a website with same negative reviews from the sound while riding so now i can't choose..
Hi! Though noise may vary according to various factors, the most consistently quiet helmets will be in the sport touring category. This means that the quietest helmets that we've tested are the HJC RPHA 70 and the Shoei GT Air 2, which both came in at about 97 dB. Between the two helmets, it would mainly depend on what you're looking for. The Scorpion helmet came out much quieter on our road test, let's you adjust the interior thanks to an inflatable bladder, and it has earned 4/5 stars from SHARP. In contrast, the HJC did come out louder, but still offers a fantastic field of view and it let's you directly integrate the HJC communication system for a sleeker look. Thanks for the question! Thanks for the suggestion, we appreciate it! Though we haven't directly compared them yet, we have road tested the Airframe Pro already. As far as our results, we found the Airframe Pro came out with a degree less than the outside temperature and a noise result of 103-4 dB, which made it quite noisy but well ventilated. Hello, I am in the process of buying a new helmet and this one along with the EXO 1400 Air are one of the few that are on the top of the list. How would you compare them? Which do you feel would be better from a sport riding and sport touring perspective? I ride a Striple RS
It's a tough decision between the two for sure since both are at the top of their respective Scorpion lines, and we have not had a chance to road test the 1400 Air yet. However, for sport riding the R1 Air would be a better choice since its ventilation, visor aperture, and aerodynamics have been optimized for this, while the 1400 Air would be better for sport touring since it comes with additional touring features like a sun visor and is meant for a more upright position. The main thing to consider between the two helmets would be how much sport or touring riding you do. If you're mainly planning on track days, the R1 Air would be better, while the 1400 Air would be a better option for every day commuting or longer rides. Thanks for the question! @@Championhelmets well I'm unhappy with the 4* Sharp rating of the 1400, expected Scorpion to do better at this price point. Haven't seen the R1 Air in person, but the fact that it's FIM approved is a huge bonus. I honestly feel HJC, Shark, Scorpion and Bell are where the best bang for buck helmets are. Chances are I will land up with either the R1 Air or the 1400 so Scorpion must be doing something right...

It seems compared to the competition the 1400 Air shows a stronger SHARP score than the equivalent HJC while matching up with the Shark Spartan offerings. Over the course of our road tests with these helmets we've found Scorpion and HJC especially always manage to come out very strong in their value for money, features, and performance. The answer would mainly depend on what sort of position you ride in and what you're looking to get out of each helmet. The AGV K6 offers a great field of view that fits a wide range of riding styles, it ventilates very well, and it is incredibly light. This makes it great for light riding and commuting. In contrast, the Scorpion EXO R1 Air is designed for more forward, aggressive positions, features race focused aerodynamics, and it comes with an extra dark smoke visor in the box to already start you off on the track. Though it should still be very comfortable since the wind curtain and neck roll did an excellent job of keeping the noise level of the R1 down, even below that of the K6. Thanks for the question! @@Championhelmets Thank you very much! I like them both, and here where I'm from, they cost the same right now. What I'm looking for is a good all-rounder for my use. Mainly will be in a 3/4 position cruising, touring, and this year I will start going to the racetrack, but I will be a complete beginner there. I'm not really commuting on my bike - I live too far from work for that. So I'm still torn between the two. I want a reasonably quiet helmet (I use Alpine's motosafe earplugs all the time), which isn't a torture to wear on longer cruises, but still can tuck behind the screen. And I'm overly obsessed with safety. I'm always leaning towards a safer option. So. I still can't decide lol
@@unabletochoose In the case of a more all around helmet, the K6 may be a better option. The eye port is placed in a more upright position, which will let you use it in a wider variety of riding conditions, and the light weight and aerodynamic styling will still let you try it out on the track (as long as the helmet is in keeping with local track rules). Hi, how does the Scorpion EXO R1 Carbon compare to HJC RHPA 70 Carbon? Been having a difficult time deciding which one to go with on your website. Currently own an agv k5s and looking for a better helmet. I need it to NOT have a drop down sunvisot. Was thinking of this since the Corsa R is being discontinued... Thoughts?
The Airfit system can make a difference, but it often depends how the helmet holds up over time. So, if you find that as you wear the helmet the padding starts to loosen up, the Airfit will offer a clever fix to get a tighter fit once more. @@Championhelmets Really like the looks of it, like the air fit system. From what I've read it's fairly quiet to have good venting. I had considered the RPHA series as well but I tried one on and the fit was like an ICON I had a really hard time getting the helmet on and off. Painfully so. The R1 according to Sportbike Track Gear is an very improved version of the R2000 I wear now. Though it's a good helmet, it's not in league as my old Arai. So hopefully this fills the checklist for things I want better in a helmet. Graphics choices/colors for the R1 could be better though , hence why I'm ordering from you. The nuclear colored one isn't available here.

It's definitely a tough question between the 3. First off, it would be important to consider what level of sport vs touring riding you are planning on. While the R1 Air and X-803 are full sports helmets designed for an aggressive forward positioning, the NXR has been designed as a sport-touring helmet. This means that the Shoei will offer greater versatility as far as standard on road riding in addition to supporting a more upright position while still bringing a certain level of sportiness. Between the X-803 and R1 Air we found the Scorpion showed a stronger ventilation performance out on the road while the X-803 RS Ultra Carbon was much lighter. @@Championhelmets I have a dorsoduro, so a fairly upright position. I had the shoei nxr but after a fall I am undecided between 3. The shoei despite everything I found it noisy and for this reason I was looking between the 3 even thinking of switching to a lighter carbon fiber helmet. I'm undecided between X-803 UC (not RS UC), scorpion R1 carbon air and nxr that I have already had.
@@sassodrift96 Based on our data between the three, we'd suggest the R1 Air as far as noise isolation. When we tested the NXR, it came out at about 103dB while the X803 RS UC, which is very similar to the X-803 besides the spoiler, came out at an even louder 105dB. In our test of the R1 Air, we were very surprised when it showed a result of 98dB, which makes it very quiet all thanks to the well-designed neck roll and chin curtain. Since the main difference is just the outer shell construction, we expect the R1 Air Carbon to also perform about the same. If you have any further questions, we're always happy to help!
@@Championhelmets As build quality in order who wins? i think x-lite (italian) and shoei (japanese) are better than scorpion or not? What about security? is there any test about it? after the fall I found that the shoei is great that after taking a head with fainting I didn't even have a headache, but the others?
@@sassodrift96 As far as build quality, finishing, and construction we would stick with Shoei as top notch followed by X-Lite. As far as security, all the helmets are ECE 22.05 certified. In addition to this, the X-Lite has undergone additional rotational impact testing in Italy while the NXR earned 4/5 stars from SHARP in the UK. As far as the Scorpion, though the racing version has been FIM certified, it is not sold as such, and it was only certified in size S. All 3 also include emergency release cheek pads.
If you find you're between sizes, it is always a good idea to try to check how the helmet size fits in a physical store to check this. I have this helmet and its beautiful and very light but its very very very noisy i tried it in both my bikes VSTROM and GSXR1000 and disappointed.Before that i had an arai chaser and it was much quieter than this
Hey there! While the Scorpion EXO R1 Air isn't built to integrate with a specific system, it should still be possible. One thing to be aware of though is that there are no speaker pockets in the helmet so it may be a tight fit

you are comparing comfort with Agv piste, I have both Scorpion and Agv piste, Scorpion is more comfortable than Agv, have you mixed something up?😏 and the Scorpion is a quieter helmet. I only wear Agv in the city...
