@Freya2021, Michael Schenker left the Scorpions for UFO in 1973, and as part of the agreement of his leaving, he co-wrote 3 songs, this one Fly People Fly he co-wrote with Klaus Meine, the song Far Away he wrote with Klaus and his brother Rudolf, and the song Fly To The Rainbow he wrote with Ulrich Roth.
@@1Phepsi true that, but basically the songs were almost already written before 1973, they even played Far away during their '72/'73 Lonesome crow tour as we can hear on that rare live audio recently appeared.
@@lifeisnice23 I've not heard any recently discovered rare live performance, all I can go by is what both Michael and Ulrich Roth have said, and that is that Michael co-wrote the 3 songs mentioned, and that Ulrich, Rudolf and Klaus wrote the rest.
@@1Phepsi I'll suggest you to listen to that audio, it's here on RU-vid, it was recorded around the time UFO were touring Germany and they saw Michael for the first time and you can understand why they were really impressed, Michael was amazing even on improvised live jam..
I'm with you I'm 51 I've listened to scorps way back in the late 70s they had just started to blow up in LA California I'm not saying it because I was young at this time but forsure them were the days and boring as some days were but that's exactly what we need so we can enjoy the great days an I'm a big fan of the good timels.still loving the Scorpions till the energy from within my soul joins the rest of the sores

Thank you for posting this song. I haven't heard it in years, but it one of my favorite songs of any band. My Vietnamese brother introduced to me the legendary music of the Scorpions, along with other greats: Warlord and UFO, to name a few.
If we were back in the glory days of Rock & Roll we gonna choose variety kind of rock bands and in the front row we are not refused Scorpions to be in golden age of Rock and Roll because they became more sucessfully in 1979 and world wide they can sold out their tickets till today.

My favorite Scorpions ballad will always be Always Somewhere. Fly people Fly is a psychedelic Sopranos fine melody. Apparently Klaus Meine was much more melodic as a younger man. Even today he sounds smooth like silk😊
