interesting to not that there is a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet Cockpit section in the middle of the screen at 6:20. The street looks amazingly like the Sherwood Crescent architecture in Lockerbie

Yeah i noticed that mate after uploading it and seeing it on the big screen, couldn’t make it out at time i flew drone over and was annoyed with myself for missing it 🫣 plan on going back when they are making the movie so hopefully catch it then 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Correct. It's a movie about Lockerbie and features Colin Firth.

Never knew about this place...it's a shame it's been left to get to this state...🙁... hopefully it will get used for more filming in the future... great video again 👍🙂. I was asked to go and do a bit drone footage today of Crosshouse Waverley..the local amateur football team...10 mins before I was about to leave the rain came peeing down 🤬🤬.. try again in a fortnight....👍🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yeah the forecast was supposed to be sunny today but can never rely on it as always changes for the worst never for better has KO me a few times and had to abandon idea if making a video which is annoying especially when took a half day so could fly the drone, cant wait til spring, gave you a shout out in video i made yesterday this time during drone flight as i know alot of viewers skip the parts in between an interaction & Drone taking off according to RU-vids analysis of most my videos 🙈 that Audit most likely be posted Monday or @ earliest tomorrow evening 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This was recorded start of year, i went back and got some footage mate, its in my video list, there was 2 different Lockerbie dramas getting made @ the same time one for BBC/ Netflix which was here and the other for Sky/ Universal, i visited both 👍🏻😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It's for a movie about the Lockerbie plane tragedy, films going to be called Lockerbie, there was a thing in the news telling locals theres going to be some loud bangs and pyrotechnics, its going to star Colin Firth.

Yeah mate this set is the Netflix Lockerbie Drama i came back 8 weeks later and filmed when they were filming can see video in my channel list this is not the set Colin Firth was at, believe it or not but hes in the Sky version which was are also being recorded @ same time but in different locations and funny enough both in west lothian. The road closure guys for the loud bangs/ pyrotechnics were warned about me and not to let them get past if i turned up which was weird as i didnt even know i was going to ho there til days before and i never told anyone i was going to turn the 1st day of filming can also see that interaction with road closure guys as well as me turning up @ the Sky production team were the producer phones their lawyers about me 👍🏻😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I remember reading about that place in the Record. I'd never heard of the place before, so it seems they didn't do much advertising so no surprise it closed. It looks like it would have been a good place to shop. Another good one from you and wee chopper :)

Thanks Strawberry Sunday, yeah i remember seeing the Tv adverts but only after reading the Daily Record article the other day online, i also assumed it was have just been knocked down or used as something else but i would also thought it was in a town or city not built in the countryside 🥺👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@@Droneauditsscotland Aye it's in a very strange location for a shopping village, practically unreachable if you didn't have a car. I had never heard about it till that DR article. Shame seeing it just rotting away like that, but I suppose it would be unviable as a shopping centre even with new management . Hope you had a good weekend. All the best. SS 👍🏼👍🏼

I went there years ago and there were only about 5 or 6 places opened. Later this was used for a TV show called I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse in 2015 as mentioned, looks like more filming of some sort is being set up.

Yeah its a shame the place shut down its due to its location as in middle of nowhere, keeping my eye on the place mate i fly over 1-3 times a week watching the Set as it progresses 😮👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A never knew that place was there and I’ve been to the zoo there. It looks very similar to Gretna outlet but seems a bit of a waste sitting there rotten away. Great content as usual DAS 👍

A mind going there one summer and it was pretty good but aye Livi outlet killed it. The prices were better in Livi and it was a damn sight easier to get to for sure. Love that Freeport was used for a zombie movie and maybe another one coming. Great to see you and chopper out and about. Getting closer to ma hoose all the time, I'll make sure I got the kettle ready for you if you do.

Nice footage of the Five Sister's shale bings and the surrounding area! A shame the shopping village has become so derelict. It's basically another ghost town, the security guard was just trying to protect the site (or the set). 🧟🧟‍♂🧟‍♀👻👻👻It was probably him that phoned the police on the last drone flyer....Ha! 👮‍♂

Yeah he either phoned them last time or was just trying to call my bluff lol, i have realised that when making videos most staff do listen to when i explain its legal for me to fly apart from the odd few (Mr Muscles, Livingston) . Scotland could really done with a Freeport in middle of Glasgow - Edinburgh but this location was just so not ideal would of been a success if just off a slip road on M8 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

FREEPORT WAS BUILT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, THE SHOPS WERE MEANT TO BE CHEAPER BUT TURNED OUT TO BE MORE EXPENSIVE, HENCE THE REASONS WHY IT CLOSED.

Thanks for the info mate, i have been to other Freeports and your 💯 correct they claim to be cheaper but very rarely do you ever find a deal and end up buying something else thats slightly more, i still cant understand why they built it here in middle of nowhere especially with no Motorway or main roads close by 🤷‍♂️🤪👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thanks for the info mate 🤗, never knew about this place until recently so didnt have the pleasure of visiting while it was open, due to go back for a revisit as was also there flying drone over the Lockerbie set the week they were filming the drama so be good to see if they reset the place back to way it was before they built set & also to get a better view of the abandoned village as now have a 4k drone with zoom 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Lol mate, i think they be demolished now as went back and filmed BBC/ Netflix recreating the Lockerbie Plane Crash Site 8 weeks later, i will be going back there again to use new drone to film better footage of shopping village and most importantly make sure the Tv company haven’t left a mess 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yeah another viewer said that have checked google but could only find info on a 4 part drama starring Colin Firth no mention of West Lothian being used and seemed as if its already been recorded but please keep me updated as this be good go get a sneak peak at while making movie 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@@Droneauditsscotlandthe one with Colin Firth, being made by Sky, is actually being shot in Bathgate at the studios there - totally separate production from the one in Freeport believe it or not. I believe the Freeport one is a Netflix production and only just started. The cockpit was only dropped off a few weeks back.

Brilliant mate, it would be the ultimate drone video if could catch the movie set when filming the crash scene, im really interested in being back there when they do so any info you find out on this matter please keep me informed, that would also explain why the security guard didnt flinch when i asked him “what the film was about” as he would of been warned to keep Hush Hush about it 😃👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
