Quantum leap handled some very intense subjects where many shows wouldn't go that deep in to storyline for its time they did amazing true things that helped many people reach out themselves
Quantum Leap is one of the greatest most enjoyable sci-fi series ever made. Scott Backula & Dean Stockwell were amazing. No episode was the same. It must have been an actor's dream to play such roles. Can't speak highly enough of the show. 👋😎

I hate myself. I had no idea that Scott and Dean were at the con. By the time I got there, their panel was over with. The irony is that lithe reason why I was so late getting there was because I was at home actually watching Quantum Leap on TV. LOL!!!
I love Quantum Leap. I have all 5 seasons on DVD. And the finale was bittersweet. Nothing like that show. But it is good to see Scott back on another Donald Bellisario series, "NCIS New Orleans" as agent Dwayne Pride.
They shouldn't have said "Sam never returns home." The finale said he could if he wants to, or if he needs a week off where does he go to recover from injury? Would he be afraid that someone else takes over for him, or he wouldn't be allowed to leap again?
Thanks again for posting these. At least I can feel a little part of me was there. If Scott EVER comes back to the east coast, I am NOT missing him again!
He went through some tough health problems around this time, he seemed very gracious. I was surprised no one had any questions for him specifically. Scott Bakula is an amazing actor but I coulda picked Dean's knowledge all day long. Truly one of the best actors for both quantity and longevity. God bless him
Its been a few years back we had filmed segments at College of Charleston Downtown,Catered by Bessengers BBQ, and Summerville High School Flield They had pictures of Scott filming on there walls at Bessengers,My GF met him and got his Autograph i still have pictures of him next tothe Panavision Camera.and i was the first base Empire. He projects the image of the other person's form, which seems a bit more supernatural. Or perhaps that was due to a futuristic organization guiding his leaps, since him appearing as himself could cause long-term problems.
The second to last question is about the proposed 6th season opener of Dr. Sam Beckett leaping beyond the purpose of Project Quantum Leap and Al Calavicci (as a hologram) visiting Al's Place and somehow being able to communicate with the bartender whom has the power to turn Al from hologram into a leaper and leap into the future. Al finds himself leaping into the life of a big breasted blonde woman and instead of miners the bar patrons are pilots. Wild speculation with no real credentials.
He had a stroke not long after this. I don't think he seemed bored at all. For actors like him, and I'll use Christopher Lloyd as an example too, they are actors, it's their job...and it's not that they mind being fussed over but they just don't "get it". It'd be like a grocery store manager being bombarded all day about the produce section they stocked 20 years ago...probably happy to talk about it but it's just a job and surreal to them that people still make a big deal.
Before i knew who Scott was my girlfriend had me stop him on a set where i was the 1st. base empire filmed in Charleston,South Carolina for his autogragh i had no idea he was a good friend of Dean Stockwell's ....
I took a friend there to drop him off and the Director saw me and ask if i would be the 1st base Empire because they were short on guys my age that showed up...The guy on 3rd base was a ral Baseball coach and when they threw the frozen ball it stuck to the glove....We had a Blast and Scott is really as nice a guy as his face presents very cool Guy.!!!
I'd like to see a fascist American leader take charge of Quantum Leap and send "evil leapers" back in time to disrupt people's lives who are likely to oppose his attempt to be president-for-life (like Blacks voting against his candidates). Then once the "evil leapers" are beaten we get "good leapers" to set right what he set wrong.
They should have ended it where he now wants to keep helping people, and only goes home for vacation or to heal injuries. Saying he never returned home is a downer.
contrary " popular " opinion I already had seen Scott bakula in a lot of other stuff wasn't impressed I was from the beginning an Al dean Stockwell fan .
He was up in years and likely was struggling with health. If this was 6 years ago then this is right before he had a stroke. I think he was very attentive, maybe he was having trouble hearing but he certainly seemed to look intently as people were speaking so he could catch the question. I'd have love to ask him about his wardrobe choices, and if all the innuendo jokes were planned or if he threw those in to catch Scott off guard. Like in the Kamikaze Kid when telling Sam about a stripper who'd start with a big cardboard box and then by the end would have just a small tiny kleenex box right over her..(this is where Sam quickly cuts him off) I always thought those little moments were hilarious, such great comedic timing
