Terrible greedy Not good for baseball

Athletes today are so spoiled and greedy as it is. These agents like Scott Boras and Klutch Sports over in the NBA are ruining the game with lopsided contracts and borderline outrageous player salaries that they're not worth anywhere near being handed out on such a regular basis. I hope the pendulum swings the other way and teams stick it back to these ridiculous contract demands.

There was a time when Boras had all the numbers which allowed him to get the most money. Now all teams have the numbers and when players reach a certain age they are what they are. The early 30s is when their last productive years happen. Then comes the decline. Teams aren’t willing to pay millions for players in decline anymore.

Boras is trying to take advantage of FOMO for all the teams that had huge piles of cash for Ohtani and Yamamoto. I don’t think it’s going to work.

Boras is bad for baseball. And he hurt his clients badly this year advising them to hold out for huge contracts.

Boras has always been known for being hard to negociate with due to his greed. Every player Boras represents is not is not worth some astronomical amount. The sport of Baseball is still a business and owner have to spread money around, as well as make a profit to stay in business.

The only people that are greedy is ownership. Players should take every possible dollar that they can.

Expanded playoffs, especially in a sport that is such a wild card. No real incentive to overpay for a player, especially one with real flaws that can tank your franchise for years. All of these players have obvious flaws and Boras demands you overpay for them… Nope!

Boras will do for these guys exactly what he did for Arrieta in 2018.

Boras also with Harper trying to extend his contact while he has like 7 years left on his contract, crazy! I disagree with you though, I think 2 teams will overpay for both Bellinger and Snell. I think Montgomery is actually the most reliable of those 3.

The single greatest advantage you can have in any (and I mean ANY) negotiation is...................................TIME ! Nobody is doing anything wrong.

He is just doing his job, but heres the problem, unless you are a Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Juan Soto esq player you wont make that type of money, most of these guys have the same problem, they had a great year last year or they had a great stretch last year and they are suddenly looking for 6+ year 20+ million contracts, those are major contracts that could sink some franchises if they get it wrong, (well maybe not SINK but we know half the teams in the league wont spend that type of money twice if they get it wrong once) the ask is simply too much for these guys, Soto im sure will get his bag but Boras' insistance on his players hitting Free Agency is going to hurt more players than it will help, Boras is giving these players the wrong impression that teams are willing to sign them for that much if they wait, the reality of the situation is teams are much more willing to move on from players like this if the price isnt right, these players will sit and waste away on the free agent market unless they sign a smaller deal or fire Boras entirely

Why do people always blame players, agents and owners about over priced salaries? It's the fans that are the problem. We continue to pay whatever the owners charge, and then gripe about it. All the costs get passed down to us.

horrible for baseball, hes a perfect example of greed ruining the game. Nobody is going to feel sorry for the players salaries when a family of 4 cant go see an average game for less than $800,00 bucks. Beer is $10 bucks for a .75 cent can of domestic light beer. If you buy a 30 pk of beer in the store its .75 cents a can so they obviously buy it for around .50 cents a can wholesale at the average of 90,000 cans of beer per game. Who the hell is getting rich here?

Boras is good for baseball, forcing billionaires to spend their money. They don’t have to pay for their stadiums so they have extra money to pay players. Idk why so many people are protesting players getting as much money as they possibly can
